  You mentioned in your original post that you have set up a homegroup.  Unfortunately, VISTA is NOT compatible to work in a residential setting.  The only way you can add to a network is to create the normal type of the Working Group (Home Network) network.  I hope this helps.  Get back to me if you need help.
