    Toshiba support

    Contact Toshiba and ask them to send you a set of recovery Vista disc/s.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    Then reinstall Vista with them.

    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    See if you still have a recovery Partition on your hard disk to reinstall vista home Premium.
    Try this and see if it works:
    Toshiba Recovery:
    To access the recovery partition Toshiba, powering the laptop. Press 0 (zero) key and turn on the laptop. Keep holding down the zero key until the TOSHIBA logo, which is where you should start to type the zero key repeatedly. Stop if the device emits a sound signal or when the TOSHIBA logo disappears. The screen should light up * MODE of RECOVERY of HARD drive * for a fraction of a second, and then load the Toshiba Recovery program directly from the hard drive.
    Note that this clears all data and reload all the software factory default. Be sure to back up all your important personal data beforehand!
  • How can I connect to windows vista if I forgot my password?
    I haven't used this computer in like 2 years... so, I have forgotten the password. In any case, to work around all this nonsense or I need to pony up $ 10 for a wired keyboard just so I can restore the system?
  • Can I upgrade to windows vista home Premium 32 bit on 64-bit operating system
    Im running windows 7 Home premium on opus 64-bit system.  Can I upgrade to windows vista Home premium 32-bit...
    Hello
    This is not an upgrade from Windows 7 to Vista.
    It is a downgrade that Vista is the previous operating system before Windows 7 came out and you would have to BUY a COMPLETE of Vista version and do a fresh install of Vista; but before you buy Vista, check first that your computer manufacturer provides the Vista drivers for your model computer.
    Microsoft sells more Vista; Try Amazon.com.
  • What is the largest HDD size that can be used with Windows Vista Home Premium
    Can you tell me this as the largest capacity hard drive that can be used in a computer Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit with an Intel Centrino Duo 1.6 GHz processor.  The laptop came with a 160 GB HARD drive.
    Largest you can currently buy and probably larger that your mother/hardware card takes in charge.
    ~ 18 exabytes.
    Your limit is probably more capped by material (and possibly the cost) than the software.  :-)
  • I can not connect on windows vista home basic desktop pc because of the former owner
    I can't log on to Windows vista home basic desktop pc because of the password previous owners is unknown
    Hello
    Try the following.
    Using another PC, download the app from the following link and save it in your downloads folder.
    PC login now
    Once the download is complete, open your download folder and double-click on the installer - this will result in another file, which is the disk image (.) ISO) you need to burn to a blank CD.
    Now, you will need to use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.
    When the disk has been created, shut down the PC you can not log on, press the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the Start Menu, insert the CD, select Boot Options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press enter - peut also have you to "Press any key" to boot from the CD if asked to.
    Follow the instructions on the guide here to remove the current password.
    Kind regards
    DP - K
  • How can I re install windows 7 Home premium
    I downloaded widows 8 two weeks ago and, even if I like it, I found that it is not compatible with my Sony VAIO 3 year one-piece desktop computer because it windows * does not download some drivers like the built-in webcam and microphone.
    I need to re install Windows 7 Home Premium for which I bought through for download on the Microsoft Store in the United Kingdom. I have a product key and the purchase of reception ect. How I can do what I've searched and searched and cannot find any where on the internet that shows me how to do this. I would appreciate your advice and help, and more important again some instructions.
    When double boot with older versions of Windows, you must install the older version of Windows first (in this case Windows 7) on the boot drive. Create a partition, and then install Windows 8.
    Another thing, you would need a full version of Windows 8, Windows Pro 8 is an upgrade and you used to update the license of Windows 7 Home Premium eligible you want because you would be in non-compliance.
    Buy a full version of Windows 8
    If you want to build your own PC and install Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro or an additional operating system running in a virtual machine or a separate partition (including a Mac), you can buy Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro System Builder (OEM versions). If available in your country or region, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro System Builder products can be purchased at participating stores, you will need to ask a the sales representative for more information. This version does not support the customer.
  • How can I re - install Windows 7 Home premium OA after I have format my netbook (no disk drive)?
    I'm selling my netbook, so I need to wipe, but it doesn't have a disc, so I don't know how can I do a fresh install of windows 7 Home premium OA after I format it. It is the sticker on the bottom with a product key but how do I get windows there and he'll even get to install it again?
    Yes, he's fine, but I'm assuming that if you have the recovery partition, might as well use it.
    The following article, the recovery function key is F9:
  • How can I recover my windows 7 Home premium cd product key? Help please!
    I already have a good system of operating windows 7 work that is active on the laptop and I want to own system but I noticed that the product key sticker is inside faded away. For this reason, I can't. I studied a bit and people are saying about programs such as jelly bean keyfinder etc... and when I used them. I see that the cd key to the broadcast of programs is distinguished by the laptop product key code and it does not work.
    What can I do?
    Its a samsung laptop and I have windows 7 Home premium cd that comes with it.
    I really want to spend the money on a new product key.
    New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
    This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
    For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
    For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
    For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device
    For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
    For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
    For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
    For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...
    For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power
    Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
    Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".
  • How can I connect to Windows XP after I lost the password of account?
    During the change of sign-admin password, I must have typo had am unable to connect to windows. Is there a way to get around this?
    Original title: lock-out windows
    Hello
    If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting.
    To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.
    If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.
    Once logged in as administrator, you should be able to change the passwords for any account.
    See also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305
    In addition, check the status of 'Caps Lock' and if you are using a laptop computer when there is a numeric keypad superimposed on the normal alphabetic keys, check if the numerical values are active (normally a depression Fn and F key).
  • How can I stop my windows 7 Home premium to expire after a few seconds?
    If I don't hit a key the screen returns to the sign on screen after a very short time, so I'm constantly having to connect. Also, the computer goes to sleep after a very short time. How do I keep him awake indefinitely, and how can I prevent the screen expire?
    Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.
    Then at the bottom right select screen saver.
    Change the wait time for what you want.
    Also you can uncheck on resume, display logon screen.
    Then select, change the power setting in the lower left corner.
    Select Change Plan next to your power plan settings.
    Next, put the computer in standby, select never in the menu dropdown.
