How can I copy a lot of messages from Windows Mail to an external file?

I have several hundred messages in Windows Mail that I want to move to a file outside of Windows Mail for storage. Is there a way to do, without having to copy each file individually?

I think the best way is to export address books needed of the LDIF files on the first machine and import the LDIF files on the second machine.

Alternatively, you can copy the files from *.mab data from one machine to the other. Two default address books are represented by abook.mab and history.mab and can be simply copied. Other user-defined address books will be designated as abook1.mab etc. and will have to be imported. I'd say MoreColumnsForAddressBook for this task.

  • How can I copy a full hard drive from Windows 7 Professional to a new laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed home?

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Professional older and want to keep my programs and files intact and transfer to a new laptop, with Windows 7 Home, pre-installed.

First try the image restore option. If that does not work, use your professional Windows 7 disc and boot from it, delete all partitions, then attempt to restore image.

Don't forget: save your Home Premium installation before doing any of this.

How can I print a list of songs from windows media player?

    Hello

You can drag and drop playlist in Notepad or any other text editor. See: http://www.wikihow.com/Save-a-Printable-List-of-Your-Songs-in-Windows-Media-Player

Personally, I find it not very convenient, it's too much editing involved for my taste.

I use and am happy with a free tool and small called WMPplaylist. Info + download here: http://www.footballchance.com/WMPplaylist.shtm

    Hope this helps,

Cannot send messages from windows mail, can receive mail

This account worked until recently? If so, it is probably due to an update of your antivirus software. Completely uninstall and restart. Now, do a custom installation and uncheck e-mail scanning when it is offered.

Analysis of electronic mail is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Cannot send e-mail messages from Windows mail

When I try to send an email from windows mail, it gets stuck in Outlook and said I need the POP3 server.  I have followed before a mode page 8 on what he should do but does always the same thing.  Why do I have the server appropriate for something that has been installed before I bought my computer?

Your post makes no sense. How a Windows Mail message could get stuck in Outlook? You have an account set up in Windows Mail?

Please post any error message in its entirety. You can left click on it to highlight then right click to copy and then paste in this thread.

  • Import e-mail messages from Windows mail to outlook 2007

I damaged an old laptop and the hard drive is now in a case that I can access via USB.

I want to transfer my emails from WIndows Mail in the old hard drive to Outlook 2007 into my laptop current. How to do this please?

    Hi Tony,.

You can always open Windows mail? In this case: the open, select the e-mail messages you want to copy, create a folder on a USB or other portable device, paste messages, transport the unit, open, select all the messages and copy it (ctrl + c), then paste in Outlook.

The official way would be: file, import and Export Wizard. But I'm sure you will all future posts.

    Kind regards

  • How can I copy a normal header in the windows clipboard

I can morgane the full header easily enough by "view source", but I just want the, to, subject and date (I'll take the answer to also).

In MS Outlook, I click on to the front and then copy the header of the composition window where it appears above the message I submit. It's fast and then I just delete the message from project.

  • How can I remove the names of message from the toolbar and easily return to the Inbox

New user of Thunderbird. When I open a message and then act on it (e.g. delete), I want to go back to the Inbox immediately. But my initial configuration displays short titles for all messages in my Inbox. So I have to scroll to the left through them to get to the Inbox tab. How can I avoid this? Thanks to anyone who can help!

I see that you choose to open several emails in new tabs, so when read and delete one, the focus moves to the next tab email open as it is expected that you still want to read the selected open emails.

Is there was only an email open in a tab and you have chosen to remove it, then you could be automatically brought back to the Inbox view.

If the first tab on the left side is visible, you can click it and it will show the folder that you selected last.

If the first tab is not visible due to many tabs open, you will see a left pointing chevron at the beginning of the tabs on the left side. Left click and hold left pointing arrow chevon and the display of the tab will pass quickly to the right, exposing the tabs on the left. You can then select the first tab.

To scroll the tabs open the keyboard. Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and press the 'Tab '.

You mention that you are a new user of Thunderbird. There are several ways to display an open mail. If you enable the "Message" pane, a simple click on the email list will open and display the email in the 'Message' pane that is displayed below the list. Note that this is not a 'Preview '; It's an open email. This method is a quick way of reading emails. If the email is long you can always use double click to open in a tab 'Icon in the Menu' > 'Options' > 'Layout' > select "Message Pane" or toggle the view with the F8 key.

You can also reverse the list, so that all new messages appear at the top, this means that you don't need to scroll to them when the message pane is activated. Click on the "column heading Date to reverse the order of the list.

  • How can I eliminate the photo appear on the Windows Mail page when I attach it on email?

Using Windows Vista.  When I send a mail with attachment (file, photo, etc.), file or page, photos usually appear on the e-mail page,

with very large size. How can I eliminate to appear?
The short answer is you can't. Like Outlook Express and many other mail clients, when you join a photo, a copy shows after the text of the message. If you set read all messages in plain text, you won't see the copy, but you can't control how the recipient will see it. The only sure way to not show is put ii in a zipped folder and attach that.
  • Installed windows 7 and windows live mail. now I want to import my messages from windows mail, and they will not matter. I really need the messages because they have a lot of important information in them.

Would be really happy for any help.  The application tells me that they have been moved to the storage area, but they are not there.

    Help.

Is your username mentioned in the tab security for storage files and all subfolders, and has 'full control '?

If these files are really empty then the transfer/import routine failed for some unknown (to me) reason.

Have you tried to copy all old messages from the Windows.old folder, put in a file in your user name for example Documents and then import from there?   It is perhaps necessary to remove to another location in the current storage folder in Windows Live Mail rather than simply delete before rerunning the import program.

Have you tried to temporarily disable your anti program virus and other security programs to see if that blocks emails appear?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  First try checking not be (read-only) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If this is the case, start by checking the two boxes, in no other rerun.
