I want to keep messages in my Inbox well - so I can just turn off the e-mail account then hides the messages.

  Given that it was a POP3 account, the messages are stored locally already. So why not just create a folder "Inbox" old or anyone and put them there? Otherwise, you could forward them to another account, but I don't think it's a practical solution.

  For this model of laptop, it is quite complicated because the STRANGE is from both sides.   For some strange reason, Acrobat Standard does not allow you to edit JavaScripts at the level of the document, use a different approach.
