How can I disable SLAAC on Windows XP (SP3)?
Hello!
In Windows Vista and later versions, you can assign a static IPv6 address and the gateway to the interface via a GUI or alternatively with netsh. Address can be configured statically on Windows XP with
netsh interface ipv6 add address "Local Area Network" 2001:db8:bad:f00d
And the itinerary by default with:
netsh interface ipv6 add route: / 0 2001:db8:1 'Local Area Network '.
But the problem is that if RA-light router is present on the link, Windows XP will also assign an automatically generated based on the advertised prefix and a link-local address (fe80 ::) address of the router as the default gateway.)
How can I disable the automatic configuration if the host is statically addressed?
Thanks for the reply.
Hi Johnny,
. What is the brand and model of the router?
Please follow the steps in the link below and check them with the question:

I hope this helps.

Its an addon, not firefox.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to fix the problem and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

For example, if now I'm under 10 programs and I run Windows Media Player, Windows Media button player appears in the beginning
the buttons on the taskbar, which is what I don't want. Two points:
1. you can rearrange the buttons in the order you want by simply dragging
the where you want.2. If you pin a shortcut to the taskbar, it will stay in this
position (except if you drag it elsewhere). This is a very good
thing to do, because it maintains the button in the same place all the time.
If the program is already running. This is the reason why I
prefer the way Windows 7 t - it instead of using a quick launch bar
like previous versions of Windows.Ken Blake (MS-MVP)

How can I download and install Windows XP SP3?
I currently have Windows XP, Service Pack 2 on my IBM ThinkPad.
I tried to follow the instructions on the Microsoft Web site, which is to install through Windows Update. When I go to the Windows Update page and click on the "Custom" button, it says "the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The options provided below may help you solve the problem. "[Error number: 0 x 80244019]
I suspect it is because I am currently running Windows XP SP2; I'm not allowed to update because I have not yet updated.
The second 'Advanced' option is to install 'manually '. This takes me to a page titled "Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT professionals and developers. The title is a bit disheartening, but I was going to get anyway, but when I sailed to the bottom of the page, I read in the description: "DO NOT click DOWNLOAD if YOU ARE UPDATING a SINGLE computer. I can't just ignore a message written in all caps and bold!
In any case, could someone tell me why
- The updated release of Windows XP SP3 is, in terms of Microsoft, "more appropriate", and
- If it is not appropriate for my single installation on my ThinkPad user, so what do I do?
Thank you
Thomas
You can download the stand-alone package for Windows XP SP3 from the following page on the Microsoft Download Center. Although this page shows that the installation package is intended for it professionals and developers, you can download and then install this package.
Important These service packs apply only to 32-bit versions of Windows XP.

I just downloaded and installed a version of Photoshop CS2 system that doesn't require activation on a Windows 7 system. It has already been validated and registered. Everything works fine. Unfortunately, whenever I start photoshop it always opens the registration window no matter how I answer, "register later", "do not save", propose another recording attempt, or simply close the window. It's a very boring horse I want to disable.
Yes, I installed it as an administrator.
I was the cause of the breakdowns and have solved the problem; but have not quite yet fully understood the nature of the underlying cause. I don't know that it had something to do with a combination of permissions and compatibility modes. In any case, I ran the registration process again in a process of trial and error combinations and was finally able to launch Photoshop without the registration window which pops up again. I am being harassed is more when I start the program and I am now it works normally on Windows 7. I intend to run a little more testing to see if I can resolve the issue a little more. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
On further testing, I decided that if I run the program in compatibility mode earlier it then allow me to properly register the program. I can then return the program for Windows 7 compatibility mode for normal use.

How can I disable the DEP window? Help, please!
Hello
I am trying to use a program that I just installed yesterday called "Sculptris" this program allows to create 3D Sculptures. When I click the icon, DEP closed Windows program and says that the file is checked as an .exe program. I tried many attempts to stop DEP in Windows and even try to keep the DEP, with the exception of this one program. All of my recent attempts have failed, and I don't know where to go from here. If anyone knows how I can stop off DEP, or even just for a single program, that would be greatly appreciated. I tried to cut the DEP from the prompt, but still access is denied. If you need some info more backup on "Sculptris", you can visit their site at Pixologic or just type Sculptris in your search engine. Thanks in advance, any help would be great!
