  Looks like led/Utorrent amended your preference of browser.newtab.url . First of all, check your installed programs and Firefox extensions for a related Conduit material or a 'Utorrent browser bar '. Uninstall if found.

  3. Type browser.newtab.url in the search box

  I use Utorrent, but what can happen is that the Utorrent Installer installed also led. When you install programs, don't forget to read and not to go click happy.

The 1st thing I did was to fill my a/c user and put myself as administrator and then I deleted my a/c son, I deleted then security trend micro came with the laptop and loaded AVG (as I had on my old laptop running xp), I loaded then firefox to allow me to get WOT (Web of trust web) & then I deleted firefox as I didn't want her as my web browser Then I downloaded the drivers from HP for me to load my printer which I did via cable & it worked, then I tried to load the software of the printer & at the end of the installation, a box came in saying that this software cannot be installed using the command "run as" & to log on as a user with administrator privileges (which I've already connected as) I then tried to install a program of work that she did, but when I tried to access it told me who requested access to the registry is not allowed. After all this, I really wanted to I stayed with XP, I started to search microsoft answers forum & got a lot about UAC & I saw a response messages recommending an ITknowledge24 download what is UAC controller tool v1.0, I downloaded it & the icon that he was put in my taskbar , but this has now disappeared, I'm not a beginner on computers but I'm a geek, there seems to be a lot of people with the same or the same things I feel, I just want to know how I can get a complete control of the administrator rights on my computer to allow me to do what I want I could do on my XP , by the way I'm never any infections or malware on my computer laptop previos. CAN someone HELP Please, THANKS (sorry for this post being so long, but if I put in what I did now, it might save some time later).

  I had the same question and posted in this forum 4/17 in order to check the answer here.  Can't say it will solve all of your multiple problems, but you should get full administrator rights.

  Re-start while pressing F8 repeatedly.  Select "Safe Mode with command prompt.  At the prompt, type net 'user administrator /access:yes' and press ENTER.  He should then confirm the success.

  Restart and you should now see administrator as well as your own journal on.

  Note: there is a space between the administrator and the slash.

  WARNING: In Win 7 access to some folders and permissions files is limited for security reasons.  Normally, you should not access this and please be careful when using it.

  Insofar as the computer company will, there is no such thing as a license to repair computers.  You can follow a special training and be certified by various companies and organizations, but this process vary from one company to another and the type of certification.  Local laws will have to be searched by you regarding the local business licenses, tax service, etc. because they all vary from one area to the other.

  Hello retabox, welcome.

  It would seem that the installer is corrupted. I recommend trying to use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to force - to remove the application. Try this:
  1. go to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
  2. click on the download link in the middle of the page
  3. save the file to your desktop or just click Run the installation of the application
  4. once the application is installed, open the utility. The utility must be located in the menu START under (START > programs > Windows Installer...)
  5. in the utility, find the application you want to uninstall, and then click the button 'delete' below
  6. once removed, restart the computer and see if you can reinstall the application

  I have attached a screenshot showing how to select restore automatic session just above the setting of the Home Page where it says "When Firefox starts".

  With this set, you can restart Firefox manually out using the menu-

  • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

  -and then restart Firefox.

  If you want a real reboot with a click of button, you can check something on the Add-ons site: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

  I don't think that there is nothing that Thunderbird is hiding from you. Most likely the attachment is not a file extension - for any reason.
