But now I want to use the computer to watch DVD or write CD disks, for example, and I can't find the software that came with the laptop (Intervideo, creator of disc, etc.).

  This additional software was shipped only with the image of Toshiba and cannot be downloaded for free! You must understand that there are different copyright restrictions and original Toshiba software (drivers & Utilities) can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.
