  What site/link you downloaded.  It is not normally a download if you have the disc (the download is provided for those who do not have the disc).

  You should be able to download the trial version and use your serial number to activate it to make full use of.  Here are some links where you can get the trial version.

  Press Windows key + R

  Type: wmplayer.exe

  Press enter

  If it does not open, try the following:

  Uncheck Windows Media Player

  Click OK

  Restart when prompted
