  When I scan I got my photo and all white for the rest of the screen

  It has no function of machine harvest in the 8600 software. To get the exact size, you will need to manually set the size for the scans that you do. You can find the setting by clicking on the blue link to advanced settings in the first scan window. Will take you to a place that will allow you to change the size of the scanning area.   Thunderbird 31 screw to the top of my email addresses. The background of the header becomes blue and when I enter names, most appear in red ink. It does not call the addresses in my address book using my letters abbreviated as done to 24.6 and replaces the names until I have to spell the full name.

  I continue to do system restore to return 24.6 & want to block the future Thunderbird updates so that I can keep 24.6. If this is not the case, how can I fix this ugly replacement.

  Get out your computer offline before installing TB > open TB > open the Options window > go to Advanced settings > Update tab > then you can change the way TB updates.

  NOTE: these steps are for TB 31 +, TB24 + may be a little different.

  You can change the font size of incoming emails by going to the Tools menu in Outlook Express and selecting Options.  Open the read tab, and then click the fonts option.  In the fonts window, click on font size and make your selection.  I always click OK, then apply and OK to be sure change stick.  You may close OE and then reopen it for the change to take effect.

  I don't know of any way to change the background color of the e-mails received.  I'm sure someone will have an answer for this procedure.

  I have about a year of downloads to sift through and organize. It means I have many open files that I move the files to the appropriate locations. The last thing I need is to have unnecessarily the browser open between all this mess.

  Again, I want to ONLY THE DOWNLOADS WINDOW open, not the browser window. I see that others have asked similar questions, but no one has ever proposed a solution.

  Avoid using the file > exit or the red X button. On the contrary: press Ctrl + j to display the downloads window, and then use Ctrl + w to close the last remaining tabs. The downloads window should remain open. A little luck?
