How can I find and manipulate my favorites in Windows Explorer?

I want to see my bookmarks list in Windows Explorer. Not the png, the json or the js files that I can't access, but bookmarks in real style, folder. In addition, the txt file only shows three of my subfolders. I'm quite familiar with the opening, creating and using folders and subfolders, but they do not appear in Solution Explorer.
To satisfy your curiosity, I want to copy on Dropbox for some friends can access it online.

Thank you for your time and effort.
Jim

Windows Explorer is not able to read the file of database places.sqlite that Firefox uses to store bookmarks.

If you want to share bookmarks online, the best thing to do is to export your bookmarks in bookmarks.html format and view this file online for your friends see.

    • I am running Windows 7 for packs SP 1 or SP 2 does NOT solve my problem since neither one works with Windows 7.  Is there a way to search for this MUI (Multiple User Interface) missing file? Maybe if I deleted as a reboot and additional users it will solve my problems. My updates install OK but I can't run at all system restore. It creates a restoration point OK but when I try to sr back to a restore point before I get the error 0x80073AFC topic of the missing MUI file. Then, when I spear SR it is said that he could not and no files have been changed because of the error 0x8000FFFF error, unspecified catastrophic failure and could not retrieve the file several times when system restore is attempted.

    keimanzero,

Comcast of Norton Security Suite version is installed? If Yes, who and perhaps malware is most likely to cause questions you have published, in particular the failure of the restoration of the system.
First, configure the system to boot - How to solve a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
NOTE: Start-up mode minimum state all the 3rd party firewalls will be disabled. Open Control Panel > Windows Firewall to make sure that the native firewall of Windows 7 is now on.

Download and Save the update system (or CheckSUR) tool. You will need to download the specific Version of CheckSUR corresponding to the architecture of the system to Windows 7. If you do not know the architecture of the system, and then click the link that says "Click here to show or hide the instructions step by step with images" under method 2: download the update directly system preparation tool from Microsoft Download Center .
Description of the preparation tool system update for Windows Vista for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2

Once the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers. Now, run CheckSUR with the system connected to the internet because it will download the .cab for system files. Reboot once CheckSUR is complete.

Secondly, I suggest that you run the File Checker system while in the same clean boot state.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the field search programs and files .
    2. Right click on cmd.exe in the programs of list, and then choose 'run as administrator '.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
    3. At the command prompt, enter the following line exactly as written including the space between thec and the/and then press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problems facing the system have been resolved.

If they are not, you will need to contact Norton support for the version of Norton Internet Security Comcast to get help, or just uninstall NIS, run the Norton removal tool (right click Norton_Removal_Tool.exe, choose "Run as Administrator"), reboot and then check to see if the problems are still occurring.

  • How can I find and repair a corrupted registry key

How can I find and repair a corrupted registry key

It would be useful to know a number of facts that you forgot:

    1. Windows version, including service pack
    2. Your HP printer model
    3. The error message that you initially received which led you to try the FixIt
    4. The web address of the FixIt tool you tried (NOT FixIt Center home page, but the page where you downloaded or run the FixIt tool).
    5. The full text of the error message on "registry keys corrupted MSI.

That being said, it seems that if you have installed and then try to uninstall any software related to the printer.  If this is the case, and the printing software cannot be uninstalled from Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, you can use either the Utility Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup or (free) Revo Uninstaller.

Truth in advertising: you may notice that the link to the Windows Installer Cleanup utility is not a Microsoft site.  It's because Microsoft has removed it stating that he sometimes 'cleaned' more that she was supposed to.  Personally, I would use it again, but I would back up the registry first of all, with a restore of the system or C:\windows\eruntpoint.

After that you have uninstalled whatever it is, you have tried to uninstall, see instructions here: Article 1

    Thank you.

    Download and run JDiskReport.

There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space.  The only real solution, however, is to get a larger hard drive.

    • You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
    • You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
    • You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
    • You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
    • You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
    • You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long.  The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files to delete or uninstall applications.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

  • How can I find and apply a new CSS rule

I want to edit a css rule that currently leads the majority of my pages. The current rule is called ".twoColFixLTHdr #mainContent. The property I want to change to the new pages is the left margin of 250 pixels. I want to copy all the properties of the old rule and the new left margin change and apply this new rule CSS for only new pages.
I was able to reproduce the old CSS rule and apply the change to the margin and rename the rule «.twoColFixLTHdr #mainContentArt» How can I find and apply this new rule to the new page?
    Thank you
    Lou

First of all, it is always better to provide a link to your page, so people can see your code and CSS. Screenshots are rarely useful.

If you double-click on the name of the file in the window Style CSS (you provided a jpg of it), it will bring up the interface and you can make changes to them here. If you click once, then right-click and select go to the Code, it will open the file in DW.

I want to emphasize that these are "classes", and to apply you must identify them as such, for example

So if you want, you can add the new class and apply it to the pages you wanted.

I very strongly suggest you play with the code view, it will put things in a new light that makes life easeir.

  • Default folders: How can I change my default settings so that Windows Explorer, downloads, etc., all open to the folder I chose instead of "libraries.

How can I change my default settings so that Windows Explorer, downloads, etc., all open to the folder I chose instead of "libraries.

Here is an article on how to change this folder opens when you click on an icon in Windows Explorer:http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-change-windows-explorer-icon-to-open-a-diffierent-folder-in-windows-xp-and-vista.html.  I think this will do the trick. Otherwise, maybe the following can help (but I think that's the answer you're looking for).

Here's how to change the default template for a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html.  Default behavior is to select the model based on the first type of file placed in the folder (you must choose something).  Vista sets thefolder type template according to what are the types of files in the window and the settings display window Explorer. This will show you how to resetthe Windows Explorer folder view settings, disable Automatic folder Type discovery and increase theview of the folder cache to have Vista don't forget display settings, model of file type, size, or position of a specific window for when it was still closed to the location of specific path.  Keep in mind that it works, just a generic and holistic - it will not work for individual folders by folder.  That cannot be done in Vista.  But you can create shortcuts to the folders that you want and add to the desktop or right-click

It does not work with the Sub record under, Open with, open in a new tab (Internet Explorer), etc... dialog windows of type through the goodFile menu bar item. These don't seem to be able to have their size or their position to recall. For the latter, you can use the free programhttp://autosizer.en.softonic.com/to resize them.

Here is another article on how to modify the columns in Windows Explorer and sort in Vista:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/108665-column-customize.html.  This will show you how Add, Remove, move, change the widthand change the sort order of the columns in Windows Explorer in the way that you want.

Here is another article on how to change the display of the default folders in Vista (but she argues, it is not a perfect solution and can revert to the previous behavior is not as good as the two prior links provided:http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-10019957-68.html.)

I hope this helps in your situation.

    Good luck!
