How can I find my screen size icons to switch sizes?

I confess to being sensitive redesign, but I seem to have lost the screen, icons size rocking sizes and should be at the bottom right of the workspace. Any ideas?

What happens when you do a system restore? What is the error message?

It could be a problem with the display drivers.

Since download 18.02, all my web pages have returned back to a chassis of 8 x 11. How can I find big screen mode?

When I go to a news web page, it loads with 4:3 aspect ratio, instead of the already in 16:9. This is not limited to a single Web site and is a distinct change since the download of the latest version. I haven't downloaded or changed what would have caused this.

Check that you are not running Firefox in compatibility, or with a reduced screen resolution mode.

You can open the properties of the desktop Firefox shortcut via the context menu and check under the tab "compatibility".

How can I find the correct size of a layered Photoshop document?

I need to send files PSD multilayer by e-mail (Mail from Mac), and I use no services like Dropbox. My ISP allows a maximum file size of 5 MB. I reduce the file size by reducing 8 MB/channel, 150 dpi and by reducing the size of the maximum size of 10 inches. I use CS6 on a Mac.
If I check the size of the file to help read the information, I get 9. 4 MB.
If the file is nested in a folder, the size is same, 9.4 MB.
If I attach the file to an e-mail, I noticed at the bottom left that the size of the file is given as 12.0 MB.
If I send the PSD file in layers myself, I find it uploads and dowloads quickly. The email itself, he says: "attachment 1, 923 MB.

I would say 9,4 Mo is correct. Attachments always put on a lot of weight, so 12 MB attachment is probably right too.

Urgent please help: How can I find on what fills my hard drive?

My drive C guard fills, and I don't know why. Yesterday, I removed more than 40 GB of files and delete a lot more (I emptied the Recycle Bin). In the last 4 hours, filled an another 30 GB and I'm now in the red zone (5 GB in the last twenty minutes!). I only kept a very small Word document on the hard drive.

It only started past recently, in the last two weeks or more. I am on Windows Vista and I have McAfee. I recently completed a full scan and nothing significant has come.

Compress files

There are two ways to compress files in windows. Zip files and built-in file compression. It's built-in file compression. For more information on compression type zip in Start - Help and Support .

Photos, music and video are already compressed. They can get larger if Windows tries to compress it any further. Also usually a bad idea to compress system files.

If you have files of worksheet they can very well be compressed. If you have files, installation files, they can also be good candidates. Web pages are also good candidates.

In Windows Explorer, blue file names means Tablet (it is the file system compression not aka zip files compressed files). Green filename means Encrypted.

To disable file names colored, in Explorer - Tools menu (Alt + T)- display tab and then clear the check box for Show encrypted or compressed NTFS in color .

Windows compression, encryption and security to work for the most part by applying attributes to a folder and the files in the folder inherit the folder.

If you have all the files appropriate for compression, find them in solution, made Explorer right click - Properties - general -Advanced button tab - Compress contents to save disk space. Choose to apply to all files and folders when asked.

I don't wear SPECIAL attention for the MSG that I thought it was normal and the program would take me to the files when it was done... ERROR. All desktop shortcuts no longer find files directly by going to my computer, then by looking at the HD I cannot find the files. I used the program REcuva file hippo and it restores the few files that have been deleted out of the dirve and allowed to see some of the video files and audio books (but no tag info remained on the recovered files. I had to so I would like to know what they rename them). Other than these few files... less than 20 I t help either. Records that they are still there, but it asks me to open files with a program from a list of choices and not of the program draw files. (the choice to choose this high program open this type of file is also blacked out). Also when I run the cursor over the records of the size of the files do not match wat I know should be in the files. But if I just look at the my computer screen and run the cursor over the icon of the letter itself it show that there is 435 + GB hard disk info and 50 + GB of space left on it.
A few questions:
1. is it possible to see all the possible msg that the command chkdsk can generate so I can find that he gave me when he fixed my files?
2 - How can I find these files if I don't know the extensions I'm looking for? they were for quicktime mp4 files, but I don't know now.

Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types. You should also check the box to see the system and hidden files while you're there. This should show you the extensions of all files if that is the problem. You can then rename the files for extensions are associated with a program that will open and read the files (you may need to experiment first with some programs to find one that works and an extension that works if they have been changed). I don't know any way to do this for all files at once - they will have to be renamed individually (yes - I realize counts the number of files involved, but I know of no program in Vista or even a 3rd party program that will change the extensions for a group of files at a time - you can check for yourself on www.tucows.com and www.download.com).

Desktop Shortcuts no longer work because either the file type of the source file has changed and the shortcut does not open the file, or because the file has been moved and the shortcut can not find the path. You should be able to check the path by finding files (whatever they are now called) and see if they are in the same directories in path as they were before this happened. I think it's because the source file works more correctly because of the extension (or corruption).

Recuva to recover lost or deleted files - not the files that are on the system (and you won't not solve your problem by deleting them and then use Recuva to recover because it sounds like the problem is with the extensions and Recuva is not going to be able to correct it (it is not part of his program)).

There's no list of ALL possible messages that might be generated by chkdsk I know. Here is an article on the chkdsk command works in XP and some messages it generates - but far from everything and nothing look like the one you receive (and it works essentially the same under Vista): http://www.isd518.net/District/TechDir/Help/Chkdsk.htm.

The backup on your internal hard disk drive will not solve the problem - just move it. The 'damage' to the files are already done a backup now will not solve anything. The fact that the drive is set up in format FAT32 is not the question (and probably not the question in the first place is) and change to NTFS now is not going to solve the problem (although you can do that after all this has been resolved).

I won't tell you to cut your losses - this is a pretty drastic step and there may still be other options (although I don't know myself). You can take the reader to a recovery expert data (NOT Geek Squad or one of these other major centres to store) which may be able to recover some, most, or all files. It will be expensive and only you can decide if it's worth the cost. These people usually the game fee and do not offer a guarantee of recovery - even if they don't recover anything you always pay. The decision is yours.

Download and run JDiskReport.

There are a number of things you can do to- temporarily - free up disk space. The only real solution, however, is to get a larger hard drive.
- You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
- You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
- You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
- You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
- You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
- You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)
But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long. The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files to delete or uninstall applications.
