  Photos will create a new library of Photos in your iPhoto library.  The new library will be named as the iPhoto, with the extension ".photoslibrary" library and your original library will have a new file name extension ".migratedphotolibrary".  Rename the resulting ".photolibrary", so you will always be able to open in Aperture.
