How can I get the Basic for Windows Media Player codec pack?
original title: green screen recently started in windows media player for Vista 64-bit.
It works very well for some videos (like those recorded uncompressed, or some codecs) but a single codec that I save it as coming out of Sony Vegas (Windows Media video V11) goes green screen with playback of the sound. How can I get the basic for 64-bit Windows Media Player codec pack? It worked perfectly for several years now on this machine. Suddenly, it does not work. Last time that I used it very well if a few months ago.
Hi, MisterMark67,
What changes have been made recently to the computer?
Have you tried a system restore to a time before this problem?

How can I get the HD for Windows Media Player 11 codecs?
Hello
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section. I'm new here.
Anyway, I recently got a new computer and now I have installed Sony Vegas 9.0 land. When I went to make a WMV 11 video in 720 p, I get an error saying that I did not install this Windows Media codec. My guess is that I bought a new computer, 12 WMV on it. Any help is appreciated. Also, I'd love to take this to sony, but you pay for technical support here. I'm not going to pay money to be told that I have to buy the latest version of Sony Vegas.
Hello
I suggest you check the link below to fix the problem. The steps described in the article as well applies to WMP 12.

Hello
Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC that should allow the player to be used as a
external drive and PSG that is the parameter to use to sync with WMP11. Remove the MP3
and restart the computer. Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.I hope this helps.

I have a CD in my Windows Media Player with 2 discs. The album art shows correctly for disc 2, but not for disk 1. How do the correct album art show on disc 1? * Original title: Windows Media PLayer
I have Windows Media Player version 12 installed but when you try to play .mp4 files in WMP, I hear the sound but the picture is distorted and I can't see the picture. Please see image attached.
Even if I see that I can change the version of the file in a different format, I have the same problem with videos on websites that I can not of course change the format before playing these.
I managed to fix the problem for about 20 minutes by flattening my computer re - install the operating system and this resolved until all updates have been through, and then it disappeared again. I tried many codecs packs and this still does not help.
My system is running Windows 7 and Media Player version is 12.0.7601.18840, which tells me that Media Player is the most recent version.
Please can someone help?
Open uninstall a program in windows and in the left click on the feature to turn on or off windows. Clear the check box of the window Media Player, and then click ok. This will uninstall the drive, and then restart.
After restarting the same steps, now, check the box for the same and perform a restart and if all goes well it should solve the problem.
Note: Make sure that Windows is up-to-date.
