How can I get a browser window in firefox

I just downloaded firefox on my Galaxy note and have no idea how to use it. I expect to open the firefox application and see a browser window, if I can just put a search quickly. I have no research, just the start page or menu bar which is a shortcut to a search bar, but not a browser screen.
I do not expect to be the same as it is to say, but when I open IE starts in a browser window ready to search.

    In this case (start base fast and simple):

    • try to set a theme for a basic/classic theme - more like 98 then XP well.
    • Download (AV Control) and then use "classic shell" - menu style old XP.
    • Ditto for "explore classic" mentioned on this site.
    • Set the control panel to use the icons (small or large) as opposed to categories.

    But its still W7 in disguise.

    Is that the sort of thing you mean?

    If so, personally, I think its better to stick with W7 and get used to. I bet you will love windows 8 :)

    It has been replaced by the 3 lines on the side button. You can either use that (it's actually faster to access your frequently used objects) or customize Firefox How to make the new look of Firefox as the old Firefox

    This means that you must install the original version of Windows shipped with your computer if you are not Windows 7. Otherwise, you will need to set up or ask a family friend or a member of the family gift that you register.

    How can I get rid of the Office Windows 8 completely that everything opens, runs, and closes directly from, in and return to the Start page/Metro interface?  The start page of Windows 8 is really not different from your Windows 7 Desktop crowded with icons for the applications and files - but much more elegant and attractive.  Why is this another office in Windows 8 necessary at all?  This return to an environment like when you open certain apps, and then to have to go back between the office and the beginning of page environments is a compromise unnecessary and awkward.

    In the stock browser, you will see an icon "stack" in the upper right of the browser window. You may need to pull the screen down to make visible the url bar to see this icon on its right.

    You should be able to click on the battery icon to display all windows and press the plus (+) to open a new window. Your other windows should remain open and accessible through this battery icon.
