    Hi danielh1990,

It can be done because of some javascript embedded in the PDF file.

The best way to confirm who is disable JavaScript option under ' Edit > Preferences > JavaScript "and then try to open the file again.

Let me know how it goes.

  • How to access PDF files that have been sent?

How can I make / access PDF files?

    Hello

With Acrobat/Reader DC you can view the files sent in the "Sent" on the "Home" tab option

They must be in your emails as well, and you could access it from there also.

With the name of the file, you can also find in the visit list too.

There are several options to see the PDF files that you have sent.

  • I try to read the pdf files that have been sent by email to me. They include the genealogy tables, but are too blurry for me to read. How can I fix them?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, but I feel that these files have been created on a much older Abobe program. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Oh, let me see if I can include a screenshot of my problem.

PDF files don't deteriorate on their own (unlike JPEG files, for example). If they were clearly before and now no are not then something changed in the display settings to make (under Edit - Preferences - Page Display), or they have been published by someone.

How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

    Hello

Assuming you have Reader 9.3.4 already installed on your machine, you can try the following to make demand opening of default PDF Reader 9.3.4:

    1. right click on any PDF on your system, and then click the option 'Open with' from the context menu that appears. In case you get another submenu, click on program selected in this menu. (Where you don't see 'Open with' option, then hold down the SHIFT key and right-click on the file)

    2. click on the Browse button in the dialog box that appears, select Reader 9. Make sure you check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file"

    3. click on OK.

This will make Adobe Reader 9 as the default viewer for all PDF files on your system.

How can I get Adobe reader to be recognized on my devices and printers?

CutePDFWriter is a third-party application, which Adobe does not provide support for. But, I found the following on their website:

"Requires PS2PDF converter such as Ghostscript (recommended).

You can get the free GPL Ghostscript 8.15. »

Here is a link to their Web site:

    CutePDF: Products: CutePDF Writer

So it seems that it creates a PostScript file for you, but then you need additional software to convert the PostScript to PDF file.

How can I hide the page thumbnails navigation bar initially to the top of Adobe Reader and open a pdf file? I couldn't find this option on the Preferences tab? Thank you

Under Edit - Prefs. - Documents check the box that says "Restore last display settings when reopening documents." Hide the Pages panel manually, and the next time that you open the file it should have disappeared.

  • I can't get player XI to open any PDF file. What can I do?

I can't open any PDF file with reader XI. I tried a repair and re install and nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions

    A few things to try...

    • Upgrade to Reader 11.0.5
    • Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
    • You can open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try to disable the Protected Mode [Edit |] Preferences | (Improved) security].
    • If Reader opens in itself, try to disable the Safe_mode in the registry; Download, unzip, then run the attached registry script
    • It might even be a malware problem; See http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • How can you get Adobe Reader Plugin for Google Chrome announcement

    Hello

When I go into Google Chrome Plugins there are only 5 of them, but when I saw screenshots of others of their plugins there are only 18 of them! HOW CAN I ADD THE ADOBE READER PLUGIN? ! ? ! ?

    Thank you

    Hunter

    Hi huntero70375715,

The Adobe Reader plugin is not supported in Chrome. The chrome team decided to withdraw the support of plugins like Adobe Reader NPAPI. Here is a blog that describes their decision - chrome Blog: The Final Countdown for NPAPI

On Windows, it is always possible to change the behavior to look at a PDF Chrome default by configuring plugins (chrome://plugins).

Please see KB: browser configured to use the plug-in in Adobe PDF

Them a workaround, please refer to this link Chrome 42 blocks Java, Silverlight and other plugins by default now - gHacks Tech News

  • How can I get a license key for an Express upgrade that has been lost in the Digital Locker service?

I bought a Vista Ultimate Anytime Upgrade from MS Anytime Upgrade site in 2007. I now need to reinstall after a crash of the PC. However, while I still have the DVD can't get the license key. When I checked on the order confirmation emails, there is a "Digital locker" link for me to recover when necessary - that's why I the have not kept. But when I now try the link there is broken, and browsing the web, it seems that the Digital Locker service no longer exists, so as it is I have no spare key while it is a legitimate purchase?

I tried to find someone at MS to provide me with a new key - it's a legitimate purchase, fee, directly from a web site of MS, but so far no one has been willing to help. Anyone know who I can contact to get this resolved please?

    Thanks in advance

  • How can I get Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for open PDF files in their own separate windows?

I find it interesting that in support of multiple monitors becomes more standard in operating systems, applications start requiring all documents related in the same window, such that sometimes you have to use Registry hacks to get documents in separate windows to be able to easily compare side-by-side all multiple monitors.

First it was Microsoft Excel... now, it seems that Adobe Reader required documents in a single window.

Although Adobe Reader at least allows you to click on the "Window" menu and choose "New window" to "move" a PDF file in a separate window (quite annoying rather than actually move the tab selected in the new window, it opens another copy, which requires that you always close the first copy in the original window). I prefer the default behavior to automatically open documents in a new window when I double click on it in Windows Explorer to open them.  At least give me a preference option for this...

Does anyone have solutions of (permanent) workaround for this?  I know there are changes in registry for Excel (that I put in place)... I hope it's easier for Adobe Reader.

    Thank you

    Murray

    Hello

Please navigate to Edit > preferences > General > uncheck "open documents as new tabs in the same window(requires restart). > once unchecked please re-launch Reader.

You would not be able to see the documents in separate windows.
