How can I get Firefox to automatically switch to a newly opened tab?

Using Windows XP. When I click on the + to add a new tab, Firefox remains on the previous tab instead of going on the newly opened tab.

Have you tried from Firefox Add-ons disabled?

Another user has reported that this problem was caused by the FoxTab add-on. If you have this module installed, try disabling it to see if the problem stops. There is also a preview version of FoxTab which is compatible with Firefox 5.
