How can I get rid of "antivirus XP 2008"?
I have a computer dell laptop with XP. There is a program called "antivirus XP 2008". It has an option of uninstall, but when I try to uninstall the program uninstallation fails. Can someone help with this problem?
First download and install MalwareBytes from here. The program will work very well in his form of the free version.
Then, restart your computer in Safe Mode with network.
Open MalwareBytes and update if an update is available. Then, run a full scan. When the scan is finished, review found infections and use remove the selection to disinfect your computer.
Full itinerary step by step is described here. The actual instructions begin approximately a third of the way to the bottom of the page.

How can I get rid of a virus if I can't download or delete anything?
There are a number of techniques that can be used.
Looking for a portable antivirus or anti-malware that can be loaded on a CD/Flash drive on a system free from viruses and then physically move your infected system. For example:

Restart in safe mode with network that can allow access to the removal of additional viruses on the net tools while preventing the virus to start and then interfere with your system.
