How can I get rid of the toolbar Yahoo! add = on?

I don't want anything Yahoo and don't know how it happened again here.

A lot of software, particularly free software, will install toolbars from various companies. They are paid for it. You can choose during the installation process, but if you do not notice the installation will be automatically installed. To get rid of it, go to add-ins, and then click extensions. Find the yahoo toolbar, then click on the button 'delete '. The next time you start firefox it should have disappeared. Hope that works for you.

  • How can I get rid of the surf canyon Add ons when there is no option "delete"? I have it turned off, but it still appears on my desktop.

I get a window of surf canyon to appear on my desktop. I checked in my control panel and features program and it does not appear there. I checked in firefox, tools, add ons and, it seems, but it is disabled. There is no option to "remove" as there is for other add ons. And, even if it presents as being disabled, the window keeps popping up. How can I get rid of this?

According to a screen shot I've seen online, when you are in the Control Panel, uninstall a program, you are looking for is called Fast Search. It might be easier to click on the column heading "installed on" to bring the most recent infections, I mean additions, upward. I hope that here uninstallation will remove the Firefox and IE as well.

  • How can I get rid of the toolbar of Babylon? I followed all of the suggestions here: I'vw followed by assistance in the forums... But it's still there. W7 + FF15. 0

I uninstalled the program. I deleted all the registry entries. I deleted the Babylon of the top search engine on the page right.

I went in: config and reset each line with Babylon. I also tried to replace Babylon with google and then reset the entries of Babylon.

But Babylon entries always appear when I close firefox and reopen about: config.

One way that programs can insert parameters into the preferences of Firefox is to create a user.js file in your personal settings (AKA Firefox profile folder). To check that:

Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

If you find a file named user.js

    (1) rename it to something else

    (2) back to Firefox, talk openly about: config and reset the entries of Babylon

    (3) restart Firefox to see if you have emptied it

    A little luck?
