  • Go to view > toolbars > and uncheck Bookmarks Toolbar

  I watched the addons-> extensions such as recommended and found what is called QuickShare. It leads you to a website for Snap.do (http://www.snapdoapp.com/) and that seems to be the culprit, for me at least. I removed it and the stupid social media bar disappeared.
