How can I import playlist .pla files to Windows Media Player?

I sync between my computer and my (old) mp3 a Philips something or other (I know if this is important). For some reason half of my playlists no longer appear on WMP. However, their corresponding .pla file is always on my mp3 player. I understand that .pla files are empty, but the link to the device and of course db under properties, I see that the pla files contain all the correct tracks. I want to restore these playlists on WMP. Please, is it possible to import these? I tried syncing my mp3 player to my computer by this is not not possible to drag and drop playlists.

Can you still see the missing playlists on your hard drive?

You can use Windows search to search for *.wpl and *.m3u, which should bring them up if they have not been deleted. In addition, please check the trash.

  • How can I access my music files through Windows Media Player?

    OK, here's the facts:
    I have Windows Vista.
Most of my music in my music is missing.
I can view and listen to the music of "missing" in Windows Media Player (library).
In Windows Media player, if I click on a song and 'open file location' need me for my music, and the file is not there.
Looking for songs via the start menu or through my computer does not work.
MP3 audio files are also missing.

Not having access to the original files, I can't add music files individually to my mp3 (Windows Media Player lets you synchronize files only, and I don't want to lose a part of the 'missing' files I have on my mp3 using the Sync feature).

How can I access my music? Clearly, it is still on my computer somewhere since I can play through Windows Media Player.

    Hello

Step 1: Check what all records are controlled by the player. Then check these records, if the music file is present.

  • How to play .aac or .m4a files in Windows media player 11

    Hello

Can someone tell me how to play .aac or .m4a on Windows Media Player 11 files?
I need an answer desperately please!
    Thank you.

    Hello

The .m4a and .aac file extension is not a type of supported Windows Media Player file. However, you can user your favorite search engine to search for a solution that can convert the file in a supported file type Windows Media Player.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How can I play the audio stream with Windows Media Player 11 AAC?

    Hello

I want to listen to a live stream of a Shoutcast radio station which is in AAC format. I want to play with my Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP SP3. I still don't play. It seems that it is not supported by WMP 11, but if missing a codec, it should be automatically downloaded from Microsoft, since the option "Download codecs automatically" is checked in the options of WMP, and my security level in Internet Options is set by default.

Y at - there a way or a codec plugin, so I can play the stream AAC on WMP 11?

    Thank you.

    Assem

Orban AAC/aacPlus Plugin will allow WMP 11 to play AAC streams. Note that you have to replace the http stream with icyx URL part, so to read your example AAC stream, you must enter icyx://109.234.157.154:2012 in WMP, via file - Open URL... (press Ctrl + M, if you don't see the file menu). Tim Baets

  • How can I change my dvd back to Windows Media Player association?

    CyberLink Power DVD Ultra 11

I installed a Pioneer Bd writer and had to have the software to read BD disc.  I have installed Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra 11.  There are no questions on the installation who asked me if I wanted to play any type of disc with Power DVD.

This is what is happening.  No disc starts with Windows Media Play not yet regular DVD or CD.  They all raise Power DVD.

I have my default player for Windows Media Player, but that makes no difference.

    Thank you

    Tom

    Files

I agree that he should have asked you which types to associate the files, but you should be able to re - join those you want with WMP just by right clicking on one of them in Windows Explorer and then selecting open with, choose default program & choosing WMP while checking that the box "always use this program...". "is defined [always, that's when even I think that].

[Open the dialog box can be a little misleading.]  [If WMP is not one of the choices available to you, look immediately under these choices & there is a small arrow down which will reveal many more choices including WMP].

You will need this procedure for each type of file you want to associate to WMP again.

    Discs

You will also need to go into Control Panel, Autoplay set discs to use WMP again.

  • Can I disable adding automatic file from Windows Media Player?

OK, first OFF... it's very annoying!

    1. I don't want all of the files on my hard drive in my WMP library.
    2. everytime I open WMP it diverts resources and my computer and add files, I don't want in my list of the library and it does every time.
    3. I love the advanced tag editing feature, but I'm about to abandon this program if I can't it settle down and change his behavior without having to resort to hacking my own registry techno.

Is there a simple way to disable the auto add file function so that I can add only files that I want to manually.
    If it isn't... I'm done.

On my version of WMP, I can go to:
    Tools-> Options-> Library (tab)-> button "monitor records.
Then a "Add to library" window opens with a list of the folders that are searched for multimedia files.  Just select each row and then click the ignore"" button.
