How can I lock the desktop icons?
I can't LOCK the icon on my desktop items. I clicked right on the desktop and via the locking elements checked properties, but they are easily moved and NOT locked. I tried to lock in "Appearances and themes", but they will NOT lock. How can I get that they cease to move and stay put locking. Any help would be graciously appreciated. And, no, I'm not changing my resolution I know moves them.
Hi there, have you tried? Click with the right button on a blank space on your desktop, highlight the icons on the desktop, check on "locking up icons" and organize the uncheck'auto?
We have windows vista with 2 user profiles that are the main ones used.
How can I add/remove/move the desktop icons on my profile without moving/remove on the profile of other people?
What is the point of having 2 different profiles, so everything I do on my effects profile profile of others?
also is it possible to add/remove programs (games, downloads) without doing the same for the other profile of people?
1. what type of user accounts that you use?

When you install a program, you will need to select the installation option in particular only to user accounts. Not in user accounts. You can try the following steps.
Desktop shortcuts are stored in one of two places:
(a) in c:\Users\Public\Desktop. These shortcuts are shared and are visible to the user ever.
(b) in c:\Users\UserName\Desktop. These shortcuts are not shared and are visible to the user.
When you right click on a shortcut, and then click general, then you can see where this particular shortcut is stored.
To make a shortcut of the group a) visible to yourself, do this method:
a. drag the shortcut to the side with the right button of the mouse.
b. Select "copy". You have now two seemingly identical shortcuts.
c. delete the original shortcut.
Before I bought my new computer with windows 8, I used to have the desktop icon in my taskbar (very useful for when I have a lot of windows open at the same time and need to access the icons on my desktop). I would click on the desktop icon in the taskbar and hey presto all other open windows minimize all without the need to reduce to a minimum to each of them individually. Ideal for quick hide all open files! However, I can't figure out how to get the desktop icon in my taskbar in windows 8. Can anyone help?
Windows key + M does the same thing. Also move the mouse to the lower right of the task bar is also.

Original title: lock the desktop icons - and display
Working with Windows 7 Home Premium has a problem processing 2 pieces: no matter how many times I said I want the display screen appears on the monitor, the screen of the computer, every day he arbitrarily returns to the computer screen only. That creates the 2nd problem: the desktop icons that I have arranged for the largest monitor rearrange themselves to adapt to the computer screen. Is there a way I can lock the icons in this position that I used to be able to do? Or is it possible that I can keep the display to go back to the computer screen? (I'm careful to apply the instructions to display before the specified seconds elapse).
I suggest you to go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

How can I get the airplay icon to appear? Changing the settings of firewall does not work
I understand that you do not see the AirPlay icon in iTunes on your Mac. If you have verified that your firewall is disabled or that the problem occurs regardless of the status of your firewall, there is a little more that can help return your ability to connect to AirPlay devices.
- Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and Apple TV software.
- Connect your computer and other devices on the same network Wi - Fi. If you are using Ethernet, connect the two devices on the same router or hub. If you use the Wi - Fi and Ethernet, plug your device AirPlay the same router that your computer uses for Wi - Fi.
- Restart your computer, device AirPlay and network router.
- Because some Airplay devices include a power switch for AirPlay option, look for the option in the settings and make sure that the feature is enabled. Refer to the user guide of the device for more information.
