  Try another keyboard, if that solves your problem is faulty and should be replaced.

  I recently noticed that pressing certain areas on my laptop produced some sounds that crack. The plastic casing will deform (about 2 ~ 4 mm) until she is arrested for something inside. I looked at the file menu, and there is nothing wrong with the shortcut key. I also tried pressing CMD + SHIFT + S (which is the real shortcut to save under) and it works fine.   There is a preSubmit event to form objects that you can use.

  Select your date field, open the script editor and add this script (language is FormCalc) in the preSubmit event.

  Did you get my reply. Your suggestions led me to check the hardware including RAM - a few intermittent defective RAM sticks was the answer. It caused blue screens & also the prob of closing.
