  • How can I improve my Web site SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?

    Hello

I pushed my live Webcam site and I am currently watching my site customer base of "Woorank.  There are a lot of areas that I can inprove for SEO, and they seem quite simple to take care of. However they give a lot of suggestions need to intervene directly in the HTML... well, I chose Muse, so I didn't have to deal with the jazz.  So, here's a list of the items I'm looking to improve my site and I'm looking for 'how' in Adobe Muse. I find and playback through Adobe "Strategies of SEO" at http://www.adobekb.com/strategies_for_seo.html#addingtitles but I still have unanswered questions.

    robots.txt

I know Muse creates an 'XML sitemap', which I don't understand... because I know only plan the site links that are place on the footer of a Web site and use a directory - but it would be nice to prevent robots to access specific directories and pages and specify the location of the sitemap file. What Muse exactly do with my site "site map"? This plan of the site accessible to the people looking at my website or just robots?

My site does not currently use the html headers (< H1 > to < H6 >) I would use keywords in headings.  In the "Page properties" dialog, under metadata, there a box of '< head > HTML. Alternative text for images

I found that only some of the images from my site have the option to add alternative text. I right click on a picture and I get an "Edit Image Properties... ' Option to add alt text.  But some of the images do not have this option. Why?  I hover over an image and keep the pointer arrow (mouse) again and it will display a 'ToolTip' as 'Hero', 'picture frame', 'thumbnail', 'target' or 'relax '. It seems that only on the 'picture frame', 'hero image', and 'trigger' will be a right-click and display the option 'change Image Properties... '. ».  Is happening here?

    Blog

I have an active blog that I like a menu item, and when you go to this page on my site, I just link that goes on the hosted blog.  Is there a way to eliminate a click actually having the user directed to the external blog site when you click on the tab of the menu 'Blog '?  I understand that a particular level of Catalyst Business has a Blog engine option.

Many of them are fairly nit-picky, but I'd be grateful any given idea. Thank you

    More info about sitemap.xml:

    http://www.adobekb.com/strategies_for_seo.html#understandingsitemap

Note that you can also exclude a page from your sitemap.xml to prevent crawlers from crawling it. Generally, you don't want to do it, but if you have a good reason for that setting is in the page properties dialog.

You can assign title tags using paragraph styles. More info here:

    http://www.adobekb.com/strategies_for_seo.html#usingparagraph

I am able to set the alt on the thumbnail text. Are you sure have the chosen thumbnail?

You can create a page of the space reserved for your plan view, then mark the options on the menu page like 'include the page without hyperlink '. Then your menu will contain an entry for this page, but no hyperlink. If you select the menu item, you can assign a hyperlink with the hyperlink control in the Control Strip.

  • How can I open a Web site in html mode

I used to insert a meta tag, but I don't know how to open a Web site in HTML so that it can be edited.

Hello Carlo, Firefox does not include a built-in Web site editor.

I thought you (1) use an online tool provided by the package of your e-shop, or by your host, for editing files in a browser, or (2) change the files locally and then download (often using an FTP client).

  • How can I close a Web site without closing all other sites, I have open?

I often have several site windows open while I pass my emails and go to the articles. When I click on the red circle to close this window, a message says that I am about to close numerous windows, how ever I opened. How can I simply close the single window without closing all others? Thank you.

    Hi dsluther,

When you have multiple sites open at the same time, we call these "tabs".

You should see all your tabs lined up near the top of the Firefox window, between the forward/backward buttons and the web page itself. To close a single tab, just need you to click on the 'X' icon on the tab itself, instead of the Red 'X' icon in the title bar of FIrefox.

This article contains additional information on what the tabs are, how they work and how to manage and close them:
Use the tabs to organize a lot of Web sites in a single window

    I hope it's useful.

  • How can I make my Web site the image that appears when I access firefox?

It was that, when I became firefox, the screen that came was my Web site. Then people AVG signed with an issue any that I of course answered the wrong way, because now when I access firefox, I get the bloody AVG Web site. How can I fix this back to what it was?

First of all, check your homepage settings in the Options dialog box. These two articles describe where to find who and how to upgrade:

Then, try to press Ctrl + n to start a new window. It should display your home page. If it still shows AVG, either:

    (1) someone posted a screen shot of the screen AVG showing a link somewhere (maybe just less?) that allow you to disable AVG showing up while keeping their extension active. You could try that.

    (2) you can disable one or more of your extensions. There is a good chance that it will be an extension of AVG. You can do this on the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Can find you it?

  • How can I get my Web site and keywords included in the Firefox search engine?

I'm having a hard time finding the place where I can put my Web site address and its key words for the search engine find me (my site). Is there an address I can go directly to the entrance of my keywords in SEO so potential customers can find my site and it will appear higher on the list?

    Thank you
    Victoria

Firefox is not a search engine, we are a browser. Search engines like Google, yahoo, etc. have their own methods for sites subject to their databases. Usually they will find and index your site on their own as long as it is has some links somewhere on your site.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

Go to the site, click the identity button of the Site at the far left of the URL bar, on the Security tab in the Page Info window now open, click view certificate. General and details tab must be sufficient information to locate the certificate used by the site.

Whenever I go back to my home page, a Web site different guard load automatically in a new tab. How can I stop this from happening?

Check the setting of the homepage:

Do a check with some malicious software malware scanning programs.

You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.
