How can I print A4 borderless with double-sided printing?

I have a HP Photosmart/premium printer and print booklets in Word 2010. When I do, the text and the photos come out compressed because the printer is put into a border on the right edge. I need to print without margins, but with duplex printing using A4. I get a message saying that these 2 are incompatible. How can I replace it? If I print in A4 without border, text, and pictures look correct (the same as on the screen), but I need to print duplex as well.

Hi Katiepic,

Borderless printing and double-sided printing is not supported at the same time. You have to manually duplex work by putting it into the paper tray to print on the back.

  • How can I get my sections with double pages to get started on the right side of the spread?

(I use Indesign CC 2014, on Windows 7)

    My book has several sections.

Each section is a separate file.

All pages use 2up master pages.

If all sections have an even number of pages, there is no problem. But some stops on a left page (side spread of the left page).

Therefore, sections must begin their first page on the right side of the spread.

I need to produce PDF files for production, and because of the fluctuation of the content, the amount of pages in each plank is random.

What I have to indicate if each section begins on the left or right of the spread manually?

    Here is an example:

    pages.png

Once the PDF file is released, I need the first page of the Section 2 to be automatically where is the pink rectangle.

Instead, the last page of Section 1 and the first page of the Section 2 times use the left facing page of my pages master 2up.

If the page has an odd number, that it will automatically switch to the correct position, if the property page shuffle in the side of the page is allowed and if it is possible to mix pages of the spread.

In the book panel, you also have to set up you book numbering options.

How can I print my Microsoft Surface running Windows 8 RT?

Most new wireless printers have an impression of the Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT problem.  Everything you need to make these printers is tell them to print and they will.  Older wireless, Ethernet and USB printers should not have driver officially supported in Windows 8 RT, but there is a way to get the printer working.  There are different requirements depending on how the printer is connected to the Surface.

Note: All the steps below are only for other HP ink Jet, DeskJet, PhotoSmart and OfficeJet printers.  These steps are not for Laserjet printers or printers from other manufacturers.  These steps may not work for all inkjet printers.  If these steps do not work, try different drivers in the list until you find the one that works (you'll understand what I mean once you follow the steps below).  If none of the drivers work, your printer does not work with the Surface.

For (Ethernet or wireless) network printers, all you need is Surface keyboard or a USB keyboard to connect to the Surface.  It is simply what you have to type more easy to type.  You will also need to have the Surface and the printer connected to the same network.

    1. From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
    2. Press search.
    3. Under the search box, tap Settings.
    4. In the search box, type devices and printers.
    5. Press devices and printers.
    6. Contact add a printer.
    7. Tap "my printer is not listed.
    8. Select the TCP/IP option and then press Next.
    9. Enter the IP address of the printer and press Next.  Note: You can get this from the network printer, or list DHCP in your router Configuration Page.
    10. The Surface will locate the printer and try to install it.  Installation fails, and the Surface will be asked what you want to do, look on the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.  Choose to install the driver yourself.
    11. Press 'I want to choose from a list of drivers.
    12. If no driver is in the list, make sure that the box next to 'Show compatible drivers' is not checked.
    13. Choose HP in the production list.
    14. Choose driver DeskJet PCL 3 class in the list of drivers.  If this driver does not work, try using the Photosmart PCL3 driver, or the driver Officejet PCL 3.  (Thanks JonW for letting me know about these other alternates.) )
    15. Press Next.
    16. Tap Finish.
    17. Test print.

For USB connected printers, need you a USB cable to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. Connect the printer to the computer via USB.
    2. Windows will try to find the drivers but will not be able to.
    3. Here Windows may ask you if you want to choose the driver to install.  If she go to step 14 below.
    4. From the right edge, drag your finger to the left on the screen Surface to appear charms bar.
    5. Press search.
    6. Under the search box, tap Settings.
    7. In the search box, type Device Manager.
    8. Press Device Manager.
    9. Tap view and select Show Hidden.
    10. Search for the printer in Device Manager.  It should be in the other devices section with a yellow warning next to her sign.
    11. Select the printer in the list.
    12. Press Action.
    13. Update driver to touch or to install any what it displays.
    14. The Surface will ask you what you want to do, look on the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver.  Choose to install the driver yourself.
    15. Press 'I want to choose from a list of drivers.

    Two ways:

    (1) by design, as it has always been with all versions of Windows, press copy the entire screen, including the wallpaper desktop, in the Clipboard (iow, in RAM).  By pressing + of only copies the active window to the Clipboard.  To view the screenshot, open a graphics program, such as MS Paint and press + V.  This will paste the contents of the Clipboard (your screenshot) in the file open and allows you to view or save it as a file for later use.

    (2) as long as you have a newer version of Vista as the Home Basic edition, you can use the Snipping Tool.  (Start > all programs > Accessories).

Hey thanks adeline B... I must admit that I was looking for just a much more efficient and faster way to do it. After watching the file names on my account, I realized that they had to be typed in a more secular term. (book printing for drunks to read in a karaoke bar should be as brief as possible! haha) I figure out how transfer fair them but the way in which the reading had to be modified, so I decided that it was just as easy to type all that in an Excel document Fortunately, I did books a few years ago so I had to add more than about 7000 titles! After following suggestions of links, I was able to make a list for my own records. Thanks again for you help!
