  If you are Windows on the computer, you can simply use this tool cleaner Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool to uninstall Acrobat.

  However if you are on Mac, drag the form Acrobat Pro the Applications folder to the trash.

On my machine (6 yr old HP running Windows XP with sp 3) it displays more slowly than Acrobat Reader, and I was perfectly happy with the Acrobat Reader plugin. Frankly, I want to disable pdf.js, but have not been able to find a way to do it. It does not appear anywhere that I could find the Add-ons Manager. I don't want to be forced to use a feature that seems to be a detriment to performance, at least for me. Mozilla, please review this!

  You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer and use the Adobe Reader software instead.

  I have recently, sort of badly managed to install a copy of 'clean' Vista on the wrong drive.  Disk D:\.  With the help of the good people at MS, I have intall the 'clean' copy on the good dirve C:\.

  I've recently updated both the OS El Capitan and Adobe CC 2015. Since the upgrade to El Capitan, I can't open Lightroom. I uninstalled it in the hope that a reinstall should solve the problem.
