I installed Acrobat XI since the Application Manager. When I run the Acrobat application it gives me first a trial screen (we have a full creative cloud service and have for months). When I select the license button, I get the "you don't have an active internet connection" (which I do). If I can choose to enter the serial number and enter the number that we have for our CC, I get a message that the number is not valid for Acrobat Pro XI - and that's as far as I can go.

  Acrobat XI is included with Creative Cloud and as John mentioned, relates to your Adobe ID (creative cloud does not use a serial number). There is a serial number associated with your Creative Cloud subscription (which appears under the qualified products), but it is not used for the property registration/product installation. Acrobat supports only have one version installed (with the exception of the drive) and must be installed via Adobe Application Manager, usually the previous versions have uninstalled for you automatically. There was a problem with the license and Acrobat X (not XI) which leads to having to disable and re-enable another produced CS6 (often show a 130:11 error) but I did continue to see similar reports with XI.

  Tarinam96588818 that's right, education serial numbers are not accepted for upgrades.  You have Photoshop CS3 education license registered under your account.  Not accept Photoshop CS5 as a serial number eligible.

  Do you have another product that you used to purchase the Photoshop CS5 upgrade?  You can find details on how to locate your serial numbers registered to find the serial number of your Adobe product quickly. The eligible product is perhaps under another account?

  Hi people,

  I happily use Photoshop CS for years and then got a retina with the Mavericks...

  So I had to up the ante, but because I couldn't afford to CC or CS5 + I got CS3 on eBay.  Now it has been sold as "full detail", but it turns out only an upgrade but with serial number and al.  No HUGE problem that I got my serial number of Photoshop CS and unboxed don't drive again.  Or so I thought.

  It works very well to install and even at trial, but when I arrived at the point of my serial number CS 'upgrade', he does not like my CS serial number.  Feel I can't upgrade!

  What could be the matter?  My serial number CS is very good and it works fine on my old Mac running CS again, but not on a Mac (the retina and the old Mac I tested just to rule the retina not recognizing CS) to move to CS3.

  Also I want to register for CS3, even if it's just an upgrade, but it is already registered.  Is there a provision for owners of Photoshops preowned?  I have the drive in good faith, with workshop and box etc.

  OK - Here's the update: I persevered and contacted support on the mysterious additive by support staff to "liberate the serial number in a different way" and got the ADVANCE helped me support staff.

  It was settled in the twenty minutes after I explained that if I had bought antiques it WAS the genuine article - that she was assaulted with this question buggy not take serial number of my basic application (or any other requests to upgrade qualification).

  My CS3 now works well, even if it is not registered for me (which would be nice because that means that I would be able to help "liberate" some question it has in the future).  I am happy.  Although not so happy that I have had in fact purchased the 'full retail' version and shouldn't have had to pass through these circles.    But can not complain that I needed to get back on track here.

  Hope someone else has this problem is also happy that I had to get help here.
