How can I reinstall Firefox 6.9.92 on laptop, instead of Firefox 4.0.1?
All my ID and password information is stored on RoboForm, which is not yet supported on Firefox 4.0.1 so I need to go back to the 3.9.92 version where it is supported. Thank you.
7 RoboForm supports Firefox 4, but Roboform will charge you the upgrade to Roboform 6.
There were no Firefox version 3.9.92 or 6.9.92. You want the latest version of Firefox 3.6?
Downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first of all uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.
I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.
For more information on how to find your profile folder, see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

I've replaced Firefox 3.6 with version 4 that is not on my computer. How can I reinstall Firefox 3.6?
Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third part of Firefox 4 version that works under OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details, see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-osx on your options.
You from Firefox 49.0 for the old OS x 10.7, 10.8 and 10.6 support has been removed as OSX 10.9 or later is required to run 49.0 or later including 50.0.
You can use Firefox 45.0 ESR for awhile that 45.8.0esr will be released when Firefox 53.0 is released.

How can I reinstall Windows XP on my old laptop?
I had Windows XP Home Premium SP2, and I decided to wipe the HARD drive and install Linux Ubuntu 11.10...
He was fine, but the laptop seems to be "dissatisfied" Ubuntu on this subject (c. - d-.-it won't let me use the internal fidelity (Wi - Fi) wireless adapter to connect to our home network wireless, canning, freezing, etc.). I know what the problem is, but the laptop does not accept the proprietary drivers that it so need...My question to everyone who reads this post is:How can I do to put Windows XP BACK ON w/o a floppy or a product key? (Product key has been destroyed during the 5 years of intensive use)Specifications of the laptop are:COMPAQ PRESARIO V6000:CPU: AMD Turion 64 X 2 Mobile Technology TL-52 (Dual-Core) @ 1.60 GHzRAM: 2 GBOS: Ubuntu 11.10 (I want to go back to Windows XP)Adapter Wi - Fi internal: Broadcom BCM4311 802. 11 b/g320 HARD drive (Seagate, I think)Please, if there is anything I can do to get back Windows XP Home Premium on my laptop without a boot disk or the product key, then I would be very happy! Thanks in advance, everyone! If the laptop has a recovery partition, you may be able to restore the computer as long as the plant, otherwise you're pretty much up the proverbial Creek without a paddle...

I want to reinstall c. 3.6 that will work with Roboform v. 6. I won't use Firefox 4 or 7 of Roboform. Help, please.
Thank you.
Here is the process to roll back from 4 to 3.6. Not sure if it works with 5, but it is worth it.
First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).
Then, download and save Firefox 3.6 on your desktop for later installation. http://www.Mozilla.com/Firefox/all-older
Closing of Firefox 4.
You could install Firefox 3.6 on it (many have reported success) or you can uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, the entire program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left. If there are serious questions, please post back with details.
Note: I have not actually tried myself!

How can I reinstall Windows 8 on an OEM laptop when I don't have the product key?
I bought an Asus x401a laptop for my daughter as a Christmas gift. It comes preinstalled with Windows 8. Yesterday, the unit closed at key and we had to make a hard stop. On reboot, Windows will not start and instead came up with a screen that informed it was an automatic repair. This obviously didn't want to; the unit restarted and launched the auto repair, which once again. The third box... I had a few options: I could update the installation or reset it. There were several recorded files (we only had a few weeks), so I chose Reset, which if I understand correctly, it would clear everything and start over. After a while, another screen informed me that Windows could not reset the computer, who took over the entire process to the wire.
I ran across this process several times, each time with the same result. I do not think that anything is actually wrong with the material (such as menus and other seem to work correctly; I think it's maybe just a corrupted file system) and I'd like to do a reinstall of the operating system, as it came from the factory. This is where I ran into my problem:
- I can't download the Microsoft operating system legitimately, without providing the product key in the download tool
- The product key is apparently built into the BIOS and not print anywhere, so I can't find my existing key without some sort of tool
- Various tools are available to 'sniff' the product key from the BIOS, but because Windows is not running, I can't use them
So my question is: exactly what should be my next step? ASUS would have a copy of the key related to my serial number, etc.. ? Should I install an old copy of Windows 7 just so that I can run a utility to get the key from the BIOS, or who will replace the number by something else? Or is there perhaps some way I can get the key of product directly from you?
I like to keep Windows 8, as my daughter has already learned the interface, but at this point, it looks like this may be impossible by design.
Hello
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.
I understand that you reinstall Windows 8 in the OEM specifications.
As it is the OEM of Windows 8 version, the system manufacturer will have more details in this regard. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the system.

Hope the helps of information. If you have questions about Windows, feel free to post. We are here to help.

my module of Fox reminder disappeared after updating firefox. I can install this add-on again, but then I lose all the data that existed before the update. How can I reinstall without losing any data?
Back up your ReminderFox data before reinstalling. This is stored in a separate file in the folder of the parameters active Firefox (also known as your Firefox profile folder). You can find this file by using a button on the page of troubleshooting information. Either:
- Help > troubleshooting information
- type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table, click on "view file". Look for a folder named reminderfox and copy it somewhere safe.

How can I stop FireFox update?
I'm a web developer. I need to keep several versions of the major browsers to test against. I maintain Mozilla 6 on my desk, but I intend to keep Mozilla 5 on my laptop and version 4 on a virtual computer. This morning Firefox on mt laptop computer updated itself, and I have to through the process of reinstalling version 5 everywhere again. While I appreciate your efforts to maintain a version, make my job easier, I still need to test against older versions. How can I stop Firefox update?
You can find the settings of update here:
- Tools > Options > advanced > update: "automatically check updates":
- Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.
- Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "tools > Options" If the menu bar is hidden.
