I have a computer on my list of "scan to" on my HP Envy 7640, which is no longer in use.  How can I remove the computer name in the list?

With the help of Apple / Mac OS X Yosemite

    Thank you!

    I can't help but wonder if the computer is still on the same network as the printer. Even if you have no more than the computer, you may give it to someone else who uses the same network as you? I think it's weird that the printer is always to see the computer. If this computer and the printer are not on the same network, perhaps to restore the printer to the factory settings would help. To do this test, please complete the following steps;

    1. On the front panel of the printer, scroll down to the second main menu screen by sliding your finger to the right of the screen to the left
    2. Choose settings, or Setup
    3. Select printer maintenance
    4. Go to restoration
    5. Choose both restore factory default settings

Once this operation is completed, you will need to reconfigure the printer to your wireless network. Please let me know if this is the case. Thank you.

  • How can I remove a PC in my network

I need to know how to remove a PC out of my computer network. I am trying to open a document on LAURA-PC however there is a pop up saying that TORI3-PC being under network and responds No, I can't open these files in Microsoft.

When I go to LAURA-PC computer

    It looks like this

    Network

    LAURA-PC

    TORI3-PC

I'm trying to remove TORI3 pc. Where can I delete it? If I right click on Tori3-pc, it says develop, connect with connect remotely, or open in a new window. If I click on expand or open in a new window, a pop up says: Windows cannot access TORI3-PC. Click on diagnose. When I click the diagnose button, another window comes out and says: found problems... Your computer seems to be configured correctly, but the TORI3-PC device does not respond.

I have the computer on which is TORI3-PC on and functional. I just need to know where to go on LAURA-PC to delete the file that connects to TORI3-PC.

    Thank you!

To remove a computer from the network, simply disconnect from the network.

When you look under "My Network Places", computers, you see, there are computers that are known to the browser 'Master', which is a one computer on your network that monitors the comings and goings of computers on the network and sends a list whenever a computer asks.   If a computer suddenly disappears out of the network, it may take up to 15-20 minutes before the main Explorer realized he went and automatically deletes it from the list.  When a computer was delivered on the network, it announces and returns to the list.

Failed to connect to a computer see you there is quite another thing.  It's one thing for a computer to announce his presence, it's another to accept an incoming connection from another computer.  Most of the failures in this category are due to firewalls or sharing / permissions on the computer (server) target.

If you don't want to see a computer on the network, then change its network name to end with a dollar sign ($) and it will not be displayed on the network.

I don't know exactly what you're doing and why, so if it does not respond to your question, please provide more details.

  • How can I remove a computer not recognized in my homegroup?

There are three computers in our House, and a fourth is resumed, a name that I do not recognize. It seems that the only way to remove a computer from homegroup is through this computer, which obviously I can't do, is there another way?

    Hello

I suggest delete and join the homegroup and check if that helps. If everyone leaves the homegroup, it doesn't exist. For more information, see leave a homegroup.

  • How can I remove a computer virus?

Original title: my computer is infected! Virus is unknown and I can't do anything to get rid of him! Help, please!

This morning I went outside have certain documents printed in a local café. When I put my flash drive to the guy in the printer, I noticed something strange when it is plugged into your pc. When you open the windows disk rather than see my files and folders, that he opened with a single file - a shortcut file to be exact (noticeable by the arrow under the icon). The man seem not to be bothered by it and even double clicked on this shortcut until a new window opens showing now all my files and folders intact. If printing then. When I came home, I quickly checked my flashdrive immediately to plug I noticed that Avira blocked an autorun to start the disc. I know now that there is a virus because there is no software loaded on this flash drive (its nothing more than only 2 GB of removable disk space)... I scanned the entire disk and Avira detected nothing. It's weird because my av definitions are up to date, so I decided to change the point of view of file and unchecked "hide os important issue" and here he showed... by opening the disc, I saw a file autorun.inf along side another file unknown and invisible, sitting beside her... two of them is located next to the shortcut file visible. All my files and folders when moved to a folder super hidden in the disc... As a first step, that I do not have the trouble that I decided to delete these unknown files and split my files back into position and resume my day but when I arrived at the Home Office, I fell on my younger brother copy videos to a flash drive he borrowed from a friend and to my horror , I saw that the drive has been infected by the same and a fraction of a second before I can say the word ' Don ' t! "my brother click on the shortcut. A new window opens with the videos that my brother wanted to so eagerly watched. After that, I checked on the pc by plugging into an own flashdrive (my flashdrive office) and voila... He has been infected by the virus... as I've noticed that when I unplugged it and place all my files and folders disappeared and has been replaced by the single shortcut file. Alarmed... I did a system scan with avira and after an hour, it failed to detect the virus... I downloaded the scanner and still... He found nothing. I plugged an other flashdrive clean and as expected some virus infected, energetic, he. I've packed all these unknown files, including the autorun.inf in a rar archive and downloaded on virus total... all 40 scanners + alone... and I mean only ONE av (1) came in positive for... It was of dr.web... I was devastated... my pc is infected by a virus that spreads via removable drives and all leading anti-virus could not detect it... Please help me! Dr.Web he calls like Trojan.MulDrop4.25343... What I find really horrible, it's that I just couldn't find a way to stop it... I tried to find the root of the virus among the automatic startup items but this is not... I have tried disabling everything in msconfig (except microsoft services) and its still the same after I restarted the... Help, please

I used Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool 11, he deleted some virus of the model and the flash player, now, everything seems OK.

    Hi Maureen,

That your router has security enabled protection?  My guess is it doesn't and it's the way that person uses your wireless connection (like someone to visit with a laptop you could if you configure).

As a general rule, access to the router is by typing http://192.168.1.1 (or whatever your gateway address) in the address bar of your browser and you will be able to bring up the router configuration settings.  He'll probably want a username and password.  Sorry, I can't help you there because I have no idea what it could be.  Try admin/admin or admin/password or administrator/administrator or administrator/password or admin and no password or admin and no password (the classic default settings).  Your ISP or service of technical assistance of the manufacturer of the router may be able to help put this in place.  After that, how configure security entirely depends on the ISP, the router, the type of operating system you have, the type of internet connection you have and a number of other factors that I have no way to know, even if you told me that information.

In fact, to see if this applies even, go to the Network Center and sharing, and click on manage wireless connections.  Select and double click on your network.  Click the Security tab and see if it is configured with the entries in the drop boxes first two points in the key with a password applies.  If it does not exist, then there is no security on your wireless router.  If there is, then your network is secure without doubt.

When you see the active connection, click on start / all programs / accessories / and double click on Control Panel.  Type IPCONFIG/all and see if you can identify this other connection of the computer.  It should provide more information about it for the purpose of identification.

If your router is not secure, you must fix and this should solve the problem.  If your router is secure, you should change the password/key of the router to see if that solves the problem (and then you will need to change the key to all your wireless computers and devices to match the new).  If it still does not work, then come back and we will come with some other ideas (assuming that the manufacturer of access provider or router cannot help you with this).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How can I remove a page from an email that appears when I open my computer?

How can I remove this page that appears every day, I cut down on my computer. The page is from an email sent to my long from a friend who has his social security information. How can I remove this?

    Hi lost,

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset yout system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.  If you are using XP, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
