  • How can I remove some of the history of firefox

I have Firefox history from 2008 to 2016. How can I remove 2008-2012? Can I make a backup of part only?

What story do you have in this time?

You can type a colon in the search bar in the Manager history (library) to get a list sorted by time and then start to delete the history from the bottom. It is best not to select too many items at once by Shift + Ctrl + PG. Prev starting from the bottom, 1000 is a good value to start. You can press the delete key to delete the selected items.

Firefox constantly broke when he visited the sites (and Pale Moon, but not Chrome/Opera), so I took the decision to re - install Windows to a State of charge. Of course, I can now use Firefox again, but all my browsing history is passed. All the old Windows files and variables were stored in a Windows.old folder, but I can't yet find the story. Is it possible to re - install the story or at least see?

I know details that are stored in the places.sqlite file, which I have found, but I am at a loss of what to do next.

You can find the old profile in the folder windows.old and that switch to your new profile of recovery of data from an old profile

How can I remove a program called Browser Support?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

  • How can I remove entries from the catalog of PSE 8 Organizer when his picture does not appear in the browser?

I imported a group of files in the folder, and organizer gave me the pop-up "new files in track files" and imported correctly.  Then I used Windows to copy these files in the folder B, also a control folder.  Once again, organizer gave me the pop-up "new files in follow the folder" correctly, BUT showed no files imported into the browser, despite everything show, etc.  I used Windows to delete all files in the folder B, then has tried to re - import.  Organizer doesn't say ' no file imported, because they already exist in this folder.  Apparently, the files are saved in the catalog, even if they are not physically there.  How can I remove these catalog when there are no photos in the browser, I can click and say ' Delete catalog?

    Oh, ugh!

The answer to your question of title, is that you cannot correct this situation by using the Organizer.  Without a doubt, something in your database (catalogue) is screwed up.  The database is a SQLite database, so if you know someone who is a type of database that is experienced, it can use a database query tool to clean the entries in the media_table table.  This can be more or less a complicated matter, depending on how much other data you must save - you will certainly need to work closely with him on this issue.

The best thing to do, of course, is to create a new catalog and start from scratch.  Lose all your work with labels and albums will result, but...

At least now you know how to get copies of your photos in the Organizer in the right way.

To change the default search engine or the order of the search engines in the upper search box right in Firefox, please do the following:

You have no adware/malware, not based on the screenshots.  Looks like you are describing a browser hijacker.  To get rid of him, Force Quit Safari (-> force quit-> Safari), then restart Safari in Mode safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key.  This prevents previously open tabs/windows to reopen.  If that still doesn't work, disconnect from the Internet, then go to Safari-> clear history.  This will remove your complete browsing history.  Reconnect to the Internet, then quit Safari normally and it starts normally.  Always make this pop-up?

In the future, to prevent hackers to support browser Safari (or), avoid the following types of sites:

    • XXX sites
    • torrent sites
    • Group download sites (CNET, download (dot) com, Softpedia, MacUpdate, Softonic, etc..)
    • MP3 download sites (Mp3 Skull, mp3monkey, etc.)
    • any site that says you can do or download something for free that you would otherwise cost money

In my preferences when using the address bar, I've checked bookmarks. History and open the tab are disabled. When I use the address bar the first suggestion is the 'users can choose search suggestions' in Firefox version 43.0. How can I remove that altogether? For me personally, I liked it better in version 42.0 when it would not be the case. Now it feels very awkward that I don't have the same routine.

In the attached picture, I type in 'g' in the address bar, and the first suggestion is to visit gen.lib.rus.ec/
Before, it wasn't the case, I must type in 'g' and the first suggestion would be to google.

    3. Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
    4. Change the false value

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.
