  • How can I remove this face?

Hi all, I have windows 10 with the latest version of the Skype client running. Whenever I log in, I see this girl, which is no doubt a useful tutorial on how to make calls.

The problem is that I don't want to see this every time. My girlfriend might get the wrong idea.

MOD Edit: Edited the post in accordance with the directions of the Skype community and The label of Skype

    Hello

I had the same problem and got the following response from Skype:

The other, the so-called "instructional add" can be removed by some users with a subscription or credit by changing the language of Skype to a "User defined language.

In Skype open Tools -> change the language. At the bottom of the language list, select the option: change Skype language files. The language Editor window appears. Now click the buttonSave as and save the language file with a name of your choice. Again open Tools ->change the language and load this file to user defined language.

You will not see any "educational" messages.

I tried, but after you save the file under a new name, I found it is saved on my PC, and the next time I again open tools > change the language, I do not see the file I saved. If the default captain is still there, right in my face every day.

If you succeed, please specify the measures to me. Thanks in advance. Rgds, Hemant

  • When starting, I wonder to choose between XP or Vista? I have XP NOT Vista! How can I remove the reference from Vista?

My system has been initially implemented as a Dual Boot XP / Vista. Vista has been deleted and I would like to delete the reference from Vista in the trunk. In the case where someone boots into existence no reference of Vista, the systems does not crash but goes in a loop in question, try to Boot. By answering the questions, the system takes you to the initial question, with "an earlier version of Windows or Vista? How can I eliminate this? It is not a problem, once you know you have to select "older version", but if you do not, the timer runs out and trying to boot Vista. Your master boot record think you still have Vista.

You can fix this since the XP Recovery Console.

You can start RC since a genuine XP bootable installation CD or make you a CD bootable XP Recovery Console using these instructions:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic276527.html

After booting into the Recovery Console, you should be in this folder:

    C:\WINDOWS

Enter the following command and answer Yes to the warning:

    FIXMBR

Enter the following command and answered in the affirmative:

    Fixboot

Remove the Console CD recovery and type 'Quit' to restart your system.

Duplication did not begin until I tried to load the list of updates.  Continues to tell me the same updates are available and download them if allowed.  Only the update that has been update group above that does not DOWNLOAD is Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista, which I am downloading now. When I go to 'historic day' to remove duplicates as indicated in the instructions for help. duplicates above are not listed. Of the; folding situation is on a Gateway laptop.  I am writing this issue on my Gateway PC.

Open the download folder and delete its content

3 start | Control Panel | System maintenance and (if you use Classic view, skip this step). Windows Update |  View the updates available (or Select the updates installed): right-click on KB976325 KB973917 and KB974318, in turn. Click hide update | Confirm the prompt UAC (User Account Control), if any, & OK your way out.

    4. start the automatic updates service:

Start > Right click on run , and then select run as administrator > services.msc (type) > [OK]

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running

    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
