How can I replace a ntdll.dll in Windows 7 Home Basic

I have Dell Inspiron 15R installed with Windows 7 Home Basic with SP1, ntdll.dll has become corrupt. But if I check with sfc/scannow, it shows no problem. I tried to replace the ntdll.dll from another system of windows 7 by the boot of Ubuntu, but the system crashed, therefore, I have to replace the old file back.

Therefore, please suggest how to replace the ntdll.dll corrupt without installing the OS from scratch.

  • Although extremely rare, if everything else failed, including the facility clean at the last step, you might be dealing with a hardware problem with your hard drive.

    If so, replace the hard disk and then perform a new installation of Windows.
