Your computer will accept almost any card PCIe x 16 market chart, however the 250 watt power supply will limit your choices. Buying a new power supply will give you more chioces, but it's an additional expense. The two components will run around $100 - $150.

  I would say a little more troubleshooting before investing in some new parts. Borrow a well-known work PCIe x 16 graphics card and install it in your computer to see if your problem persists.
