  I would suggest that you press CTRL + P on the laptop and then select duplicate in the options. Check if that helps.

  A possible/probable cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.

  I've been with Netgear 5-6 years and had to do something last night, I have never had to do before - I had to go back to an earlier version of the firmware. Honestly, very little worked well.   I have reflashed several R7000 to initial Stockfirmware as the last FW with Beamforming was not stable enough after several days/weeks testing... The FW showed massive connection drops after 24 hours and only a reboot of the router fixed it (tested on 3 x R7000)

  Now I'm waiting a new FW version with corrections of Wifi of Netgear.

  Hi Chucke29. By raz do you mean put the appliance to its default settings when it was new? If so its in the owners manual, page 39. Configuration > General settings > initialize.
