  • How can I restore my computer to factory settings with using the computers original disc?

    I want to know how I can restore my computer settings to factory with using the original disk of computers or to create a recovery disk

    Here you are options to reinstall Vista:

    Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition to factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • I have a HP pavilion Elite and I can not reset my computer to factory settings?

    I continue to have this problem where I can not even open any app on the computer such as microsoftword and power point. Nothing works! I tried reseting the computer, but I did not eat for recovery. or a backup disk. I tried to download the recovery as some other Manager answers but it doesn't seem to work. I can't even personlize my background saying "Server Esecution failed" in everthing.

    Hello again Otaku.

    Sorry for my delay.  I was out of the office.

    It really depends on your warranty situation.  You can check the status of your warranty here.  Even if you are not in the security for costs which are incurred would be minimal, and these drives are incredibly useful to have.  Then, I highly recommend that you buy a game if you don't have any.

    Have a wonderful day!

    rest, I installed new memory chips and still have the X drive, I don't know where else to look, where this information

  • How can I restore my computer to factory settings so that I can give it with peace of mind about my personal information?

    I would only delete personal files.

    Hello

    Remove only the personal folders is not the way to do

    Everyone can recover with the software of data recovery and your user account name, parameters, etc rest...

    And if everyone would recommend "Dban"; who will even remove any recovery partition (which if necessary for purposes of relocation), because it deletes (as its default action) information on any hard disk that it finds in your computer and you need to reinstall the operating system.

    The way to do what you want to do is to reinstall the operating system that your header request initially (but remember the only way to know that your data is never recoverable is to physically destroy the hard drive!).

    Here are the various ways to reinstall the operating system:

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a set of recovery disks to reinstall from.

    They should do this for a small fee.

    "How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

    And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer (this is why I did not recommend the use of Dban).

    The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup.

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

    Ask them to the proper key sequence.

    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    See you soon.

  • How can I reset Thunderbird so that the settings are the same as when it was first installed?

    I seem to have changed by mistake the parameters for accounts with several are no longer displayed in the way which was familiar to me.

    I struggle to describe, but although the meter displays several emails of thousands, they were not displayed unless, somehow I have manged to get the separate box the rest accounts - it is a very poor description of the problem, I hope that someone will tell me how to return things to the original default settings I had several years ago and before many updates.

    Return to in a default mail client is not a good thing... no not configured e-mail account... they were not part of the default value.

    While such an option is to hand for those who don't know and don't want to know it is not really viable for email clients where everyone has an opinion of what is somewhat critical of information don't not to get lost.
