    Hello

If you have a recovery partition likely has been cleared by installing Windows 7.

You can try the recovery partition, no guarantees.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

"How to activate Vista normally and by Activation of the phone '

  • How can I reinstall Windows 7 without the CD?

My laptop came preloaded with Windows 7 and there is no CD or something with it.  I'm having some problems and you may have to reformat my hard drive.  How will I be able to put Windows 7 on without the CD?

Most manufacturer who deliver without CD include a "recovery partition" or "factory image partition" which you can access during the boot.  Dell provided a CD and also came the recovery partition, for example, called Dell Factory Image Restore.  You would have to check in your manual to find out how to access the installation if you have a.

But zero means just that - the pc is the same as it was when you opened the box, so you should have a lot of work to get all your applications and so on.  It's all a bit drastic.  I hope that you are able to resolve your problems without it.

Need help to connect a webcam XP without CD

    Hello

    1. What is the serial number and model of the webcam?
    2. don't webcam invites you to the driver when you connect?
If you plug the webcam into your computer, check to see if she's trying to get the drivers. If so, it will prompt you to insert the CD. It seems also quick get the drivers online. (Make sure that you have an active Internet connection).
If this does not help, follow these steps.
    a. go to the manufacturer's Web site, check for the section of the driver, there also you webcam name and number.
    b. download the driver for the webcam on your computer.
    c. This will put the driver on your computer, like installing would be CD. Save the driver to your desktop, where you can easily find it.
    d. open the webcam driver file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
    e. now, connect your webcam to your computer.

  • When I run MS paint and Calculator, they could not be found. How can I reinstall them both without the cd?

MS Paint and calculator are missing in accessories in the start menu, and I tried to find the two through the enforcement of typinh program in mspaint and Calc.  But they can't be found.  How can I reinstall them if I don't have the cd of Windows XP service pack 3?

First, check that they are really missing:

Do a search on C: together in car for calc.ex, making sure to specify "Search the hidden files and folders", "Search system folders" and "Search subfolders".  Be sure to leave on the last 'e', as shown.

    Calc.exe should be in C:\Windows\system32 and C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

Even if it is not in those 2 places, you can get lucky and find (or calc.ex_), another place.

    Hi jesse,.

What is the brand and model of your computer? You have the restore disc that came with the computer. If the recovery partition is still intact, you may be able to reset it to factory settings, but I can't tell you how much, until you post the manufacturer and model of your computer.

  • I lost everything, my hard drive is blank. I tried recovering files without success. How can I reinstall windows XP without the operating drive?

My computer came with Windows XP installed and NO CD with the operating system, I haven't bought referbished system off eBay, there is no manufacturer to contact discs... help please! = ~ D not drive for the Windows XP operating system and no way to get the drive's operating. There is no way to recover my OS. Can't afford to buy a new Windows, please I need my computer to manage my eBay business! Can you give me a way to reinstall Windows XP by using my valid license key? = ~ D

What do you mean by "I've lost everything? What have you done or what happened? Do you have valuable data on your hard drive and hear you because she is 'empty '? What is a malware problem? Or something else?

The Ebay seller was obliged to provide you with the means to restore the PC to its original state (Yes, I'm aware that many sellers that they don't only not this rule). There may be a hidden hard disk restore partition.
What is the brand, model and model number of your PC? Your PC came with XP Home, XP Pro or XP MCE? What level of SP (Service Pack)? Your PC has a sticker of COA on it? If so, what operating system is listed on it?
If you use a PC to manage a business, it is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL that you have a method to regularly backup all your files! I recommend to start another thread for how to do this!
  • How can I reinstall Windows Vista without the disc?

    original title: what to do?

Staples load Vista on my computer but never gave me the disc, I need to format my drive, but I have to for on activation code reinstall. What should do?

Staples load Vista on my computer but never gave me the disc, I need to format my drive, but I have to for on activation code reinstall. What should do?

You probably have a restore disk partition that can be used to reinstall Windows. See your documentation or check with Staples to learn more.

Note that formatting the drive and reinstalling WIndows are a very bad approach to address any problem. What makes you think you need to do this?

And please note that a subject line that says: "What to do?" we said nothing and is likely to get your question ignored by many people. The subject must always be a brief description of what the problem is - in your case, something like "Want to reinstall but have no disc."

  • XP Home Edition Accessories folder has been uninstalled by accident, how do I get that back without the cd.

I have xp home edition, but the folderhas accessoriy uninstalled by accident, how can I get that back without the cd. I have dp does not have a partitioned hard drive, it has been deleted when cleaning a few months ago by a so-called professional

If you mean that start > all programs no longer displays an entry for 'Accessories', then all that is removed is a set of shortcuts you can easily recreate (assuming that it is not in your basket).  The actual programs that are related to 'Accessories' are still there.

To check, click Start > run, then type each of the following in the box run and then click OK

    Notepad.exe--> should start Notepad
    mspaint.exe--> should start painting
cmd.exe--> should open a command prompt window

Because the default ' accessories' menu includes submenus for accessibility, communication and entertainment, it's a bit tedious searching for all executables, create shortcuts and bring together them in a folder to display in the start menu.  I haven't used, but this utility says it does exactly what that (and this is from a trusted site): http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Accessories.htm
