  It could be a case of file corruption in the address book file. The personal address book exists in the profile folder ( Profile_Folder ) as a file named abook.mab. With Thunderbird closed, place yourself in the profile folder and see if there is a file with a name similar to that, but including bak in the extension of file or name. If there is, try to rename abook.mab to abookmab.old and rename the other abook.mab file. Restart Thunderbird and see if the addresses are present.

  For an easy way and by using less paper, try this:
   
  • Open a new message window.
  • Click on the button to.
  • Select all addresses and add them to the field to.
  • Close the message without sending it to save in drafts.
  • Click on the header of message once to highlight.
  • CTRL + F3 will reveal the source of the message, including all of the names and addresses.
  • Copy & paste the addresses into a word processing program and print from there.

  If you're running Vista, you have Windows Mail, not Outlook Express. These instructions for adjustment of these two programs.

  To create a group of contacts:

  You can create a single group name (or alias) to use when sending a message to several contacts at the same time. Just create a group name and add individual contacts to the group. Then just type the name of the group in the box for when you send mail.

  1. in the address book, select the folder in which you want to create a group. Click New in the toolbar, and then click New Group.
  2. the Properties dialog box opens. In the group name box, type the name of the group.
  3. There are several ways to add people to the Group:
  a. to add a person from your address book list, click Select members, and then click a name in the address book list.
  (b) to add a person directly to the group without adding the name to your address book, type the person's name and e-mail address at the bottom of the Properties dialog box and then click Add.
  to add a person to both the Group and your address book, click New Contact and enter the appropriate information.
  (d) to use a directory service, click Select members, and then click search. Select a directory service in the drop-down list at the end of the text box. After finding and selecting an address, it is automatically added to your address book.
  4. Repeat for each addition until your group is defined.

  Note

  a. to view a list of your groups separately from the list of address book in the address book on the view menu, make sure that folders and groups is selected.
   
  b. you can create multiple groups, and contacts can belong to several groups.

  If you want to send to a group without addresses are displayed for each recipient, open the address book and make a new entry. Enter the name of the group in the area of the display, but use your address.   off the coast of kind unknown shippers could be filtered. I would recommend that you move these messages to their own folder.

  Keep in mind that some legitimate senders do a painful thing where they use a random string in the left part of the "from:" address. There are advertising messages in general or newsletters. These messages does not correspond to your address book 'friends' and so inevitably will be filtered. For this reason, unless you do not know that you won't get any messages of this type, you need to eyeball the messages filtered from time to time, or set up another filter to run first which affects the portion of the coherent of the sender's address, for example

  "from" "ends with" "@example.com"
  "from" "ends with" "@example.net"
  

  etc.

  'action' of this filter might be to move these messages to another folder, or simply to stop the execution of the filter. You do not want the filter "is not in my address book" to see what they would be treated as spam.

  I tried all these things and I can tell you that the maintenance of a "book of friends" and a "filter" friends quickly becomes very tedious.

  I urge you to continue to mark spam as spam, to help train your Junk controls.

  I find there are two types of messages which avoid unwanted controls of Thunderbird. Some are almost entirely the image and have very little text to analyse. Others have large portions of invisible text, often hidden in the comments, often copied from recipes, stories, news, articles etc., the effect is to dilute the distinctive spam words in the message with a large number of normal innocent non-spam words, which keeps the spam message low score.

  Only the pages and templates have a restore capability. Layouts of web app don't unfortunately. The best practice is to save the layout before you start working on it. I have the file in a backup FTP location is usually or simply copy and paste in a text editor.

  The number of entries poster by the entry in the address book, click the menu button, click Options. Under contact lists article click on the name of the address book. In the next screen, you will see a line that shows you the number of entries.

  I'm not sure what you mean by delete, but I'll mention a few things to get started:

  (1) If you accidentally closed a tab, but there is another tab open in the same window:

  • Make a right click No matter what tab > undo close tab
    • CTRL + SHIFT + t did the same thing
  • Use the menu list in the history of recently closed tabs to re - open the tab

  (2) If you accidentally close a tab, and that the entire window:

  • If you had another open window (Firefox did not close): allows you to re - open the window menu in the history of windows list recently closed
  • If Firefox shuts down: after starting Firefox, check the list of the menu in the history of recently closed windows. If none is listed, try to 'Restore previous Session' on the history menu and then check again.
