  Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be useful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To retrieve them, follow the instructions below.

  I have no idea why will not restore my favorites.   Well, you were able to recover your files. I don't know where you have saved your files, but you can use the search function and search your favorites using this search term "bookmark *.» *«. It should be very probably a JSON extension file.

  Thanks anyway but I found what I wanted in - "bookmarks" in the FireFox menu at the top of the page - then come on in - "show all bookmarks", then "import and backup" on the new page, click "restore." I simply chose the date of the day, and bookmarks were back. Its actually pretty simple once figure you it out. To bad I could not find these directions in help. I hope that this message will help someone else in the future.

  Please note: this will not work if your laptop works with the factory settings. If you have used clean OS installation HDD recovery no longer unavailable. For the installation of factory settings, you must use disk recovery DVDs.

  I love the new 29,0 in general. Sorry, that is not the menu button, but the button BOOKMARKS I want to move to the left, or at least have the menu drop down go to the Center as the "options menu".
