In addition, I did not drive when I bought over 5 years ago, do not judge me. Help please!

    Hello Andy.L.C

    No one will judge you.

Your PC must have a hidden partition which contains an image of the Windows operating system.

Take a look at this link (especially step 3 "restore the software from the computer to the original state")

I hope this will help you restore your PC to factory conditions.

There's not a lot of suggestions on this subject. If you want to have the factory settings, you must install original recovery image using recovery media. If you don't have it you can order on

By the way: is original recovery image still preinstalled on your computer?

    > I was wondering if there was an option on your computer to restore everything you the factory settings.
It is possible using the Toshiba HDD recovery option

    > Also I was wondering what is the Toshiba Recovery thing.
It redefines the laptop to factory settings ;)

    > How to get to the application recover Toshiba?
You have already described. Press F8, choose repair my computer and choose the last option called Toshiba Recovery. ;)

    A few possibilities:

    • Your computer may have an integrated program for the creation of a reinstall of Vista drive.  Click onStart > all programs and look around.
    • Some computer manufacturers, including Dell and HP, have a recovery partition on the hard drive of the new computers.  By pressing a special key combination when the computer starts, you can use the recovery partition to restore the computer to the way it was when it was new.
    • Contact your computer manufacturer and ask a reinstall of Windows Vista drive.

Could someone give me some advice please?

I agree with Timox. There is not much you can do about it.
There is no mechanism to have direct influence on the HARD drive installation procedure.

Try again. You may be lucky and recovery installation will start correctly.

  • How can I get my computer back to factory settings?

my computer is slow and I want to restore it back to factory settings, so this has nothing about it except the important things, like when you get everything first... does anyone know how to do this?

Note that if you save all the important things, it will be lost after the reset.

After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

Your laptop is equipped with a recovery instead of disk partition

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...
