How can I return to Media Player 10.

My Pc crashed and everything should be reinstalled and apparently SP3 automatically downloads the media player 11.   I tried the usual method via the control panel and removed 11 and restored to the original media player 9but it will not download 10.    I hate the Player 11 and up - 10 is so easy to navigate and everything is so orderly and methodical and has features that other players do not have

Hello LadyCrazy,

Have you tried to download from the Microsoft Download site? http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=20426

Either way even if you install media player 10 you will always get version 11 downloaded via windows updates and if your options are configured for automatic installation then media player 11 will automatically install itself. Best option is to change the option of update for "download updates but let me choose whether to install" also once you have changed the option to update and 11A downloaded media player, right-click on the option in the window updated 11 media player and, in the menu drop-down , click 'hide '. This will hide the entry if you inadvertently install.

On the search for information about the files on the drive, see this article.

Once you have located the manual on the computer, you should be able to print from there where the manual supports printing.

  • How can I "fix" windows media player which is slow to start verrry

When I click on WMP, the frame will appear immediately, but takes a long time to open.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and forums thanks for posting the question. According to the description, Windows Media Player is very slow when starting. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

    1. is this confined problem only with Windows Media Player?

    2. are you aware of changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1:

You can run the Windows media player settings Troubleshooter and check if that helps.

See the link below to run the troubleshooter.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-settings-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

We clear the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

    Step 1:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

4 restart the Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Step 2:

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player .
    2. click on Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click on OK.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

    4 restart Windows Media Player.

Provide more information about the issue so that we can help you. Hope this information helps.

  • How can JAWS says that media player inspects my files, I stop this?

    JAWS screen reader

When playing audio files in Media Player, then closing, JAWS mentions "inspection of files" then left at talk. Like a screen reader user blind, I'm worried, I relayed on this program.  Is it a requirement to have my files inspected?  And if you could work with Freedom Scientific to stop this problem?

I use exp with a scientific Jaws screen reader from freedom. Problem is every time I play a song especially not throughout, using media player 11, my computer hangs temporarily it is impossible to change the volume, stop the song etc.  In addition, when trying to close out Player multimedia 'alt f. 4' my jaws informs me that my audio files are to be inspected by saying something like, "cancellation" inspection files. then it counts down while I sit for 3 minutes.  JAWS stops talking, and as a blind person, I have no idea of what is happening, not able to operate the computer.  How can I stop these inspections?  I like to go through my music, having to play the file a few times for 10 seconds, becomes frustrating to go through all this, makes me want to unplug the internet connection.  Fortunately, it only happens the first 3 times I try to play, it's the case whenever I turn the computer the rest of the time I stayed alone to cross, to sort and or play my songs.

  • How can I reset Windows Media Player to use songs on my external backup drive instead or in addition to the songs on my desktop with Windows Vista Edition basic hard drive family?

How can I reset the Player Windows Media in Windows Vista Home Basic to use the songs on my external backup drive instead of (or in addition to) the songs on my desktop hard drive?  Currently, the Media Player library indicates that the hard drive (C:\) is my only option of disks to use for sources of songs.

Basically, I want to have Media Player external drive for all the songs from research and build his library on this disc instead of on the C:\ drive.
My problem is that the songs are hogging too much space on my hard drive, so I want to move to my external drive to backup instead, but Media Player will not access it.  I saw an option in Media Player to add a song to a different drive to the library whenever I play a song of this player, but that would require me to play all the songs moved one at a time, which is not practical, and which would not solve my problem because Media Player could still be maintaining the library on my HDD to say.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you.

  • How can I prevent Windows Media Player rebuilds with duplicate songs, that I deleted?

I moved my music files in Windows Media player for this computer with a 1 TB harddrive that I use just for storing music on. When I moved the music files from the computer Windows XP first putting them on a hard drive for the copy and paste and then transfer them to the hard drive of my M:\ the drive on this computer, many duplicates were transferred. I want to remove duplicates. I did this by pressing Ctrl and pointing out the duplicates and then pressing DELETE, and they are then deleted. But after that, it is a small blue arrow that goes down in the lower-right corner of Windows Media player from up and said "Equalization of the Volume" followed by the names of the songs, that is to say several times. M:\.... "For Windows Media player media recovery and rebuild as if it was before I deleted the duplicate songs? I want to also all my songs to be the mp3 type and some are mp4, so how do I fix all the songs to make them of type mp3. Thanks for any help.

MP4 is usually a video file, I honestly didn't even know MP4 pourrait be used for audio, but this is beyond my skills.  I know that to convert files types, you will need to download a conversion program, Microsoft is no not any program that can do this.

As for the deleted files that appears, open the Organize menu at the top of the media player, select 'manage libraries' and make sure that it is scanning the correct files.

If the correct files are analyzed and double presents itself once again, right click on a song in double and select properties to find its location.  And then delete it from here, rather than media player directly.
