  The difficult part in my question is therefore, to add the second row with the new default values.

  This storage folder are you referring? If you are referring to the film, what happens because you have accepted a trust between the iOS device and the computer. If the device has been connected to another computer, it must be unlocked and establish a relationship of trust as well. If you are referring to something different, please explain.

• How can I separate two devices currently share a backup?

  I had an old iPod Touch for years, but has recently upgraded to an iPhone 5s. When I plugged the iPhone first to my mac, iTunes asked if I wanted to restore from an existing backup or create a new. I chose to restore it from the iPod, thought that would give me a good starting point with all that my existing applications and I would change from there.

  I didn't know, however, that by doing this, I have made my computer both regard as essentially the same device. When I download a new application on my iPhone (which, usually, is not compatible with the old iPod which can not run an iOS past version 6), it automatically downloads the same app on my iPod. Or maybe it's just an update to an application, I always want to iPod, but probably that the updated version does not work on the iPod (or I would have already updated.) I would like to give one away to my fiancee, who doesn't have a smart phone or iPod of any sort, but it's a problem that both devices want to synchronize all their data.

  I could just wipe the old iPod, but it would be very difficult for my fiancee and then to find applications that work with him, because he's still on iOS 6. Very few things that you can find in the app store is now compatible with it, and the app store seems to be incapable of filtering to display only those that are. It also doesn't make it easy (or possible) to download the older compatible versions of apps that have been updated. Much easier is to leave on the apps that are already there, and which works with the iOS and the iPod as it is.

  So, now that I told the computer to update the iPhone from a backup of the iPod, and I got what I wanted out of this backup, how do I separate them again? How can I tell my computer to back up what is on my iPhone regardless of what's on my iPod, as separate devices rather than synchronize both as a?
