Sonic Update Manager always appears after restarting and remains on the screen
I finally got my c4480 all-in-one printer to work - after so many trials. Now everytime I restart the computer, I get the Sonic Update Manager on the screen and it never goes away! I can scoot the side to see the screen on the monitor, but it always remains on the desktop. I did something after the fiasco of trying to get the printer to work?
Thanks for the help! It got so boring that nothing has worked to stop him from keeping popping up. I was surprised that the first solution worked.

How can I stop Firefox opening old windows/tabs after a crash?
every time it crashes and I try to re-open the program, it opens all my old tabs and windows. often, these are the videos which all begin to play both. or worse still, it opens the page that did crash in the first place and crashes again.
How can I stop this annoying feature?
If there is no way to stop it, can you recommend a simple browser that don't try to think for you?
The value of the integer pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the subject: config page in order to get the about: sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a collision has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.
This way, you see if the previous session is not close properly or it crashed and deselects the tabs that you do not want to reopen, but will reopen the other tabs.

How can I stop Windows Update restart my computer in Windows 7 Home Premium?
While I don't mind Windows Update automatically updates from my PC, view it force a reboot when I am connected causes a problem. I currently have WU configured to perform updates to 03:00, and when it's over, if to do a reboot, I'm not here to tell him to wait. I'd rather leave time settings as they are and simply disable the auto restart, opting instead for WU to let me know that he needs to restart the PC. I found ways to do this on XP and Vista, including registry changes and changes to group policy. However, the registry is obviously a little different, so the keys do not exist compared to what I found, and since I am running Home Premium I have no gpedit.
Where in the registry can I make a change so I do not data lost when WU resets my computer at night?
Another way to do it without hacking the registry, which can be scary for some users), is to follow the instructions on the following Web site:
http://weblogs.ASP.NET/jgalloway/archive/2006/02/11/438009.aspx
I stuck in the main rooms, in the cases where the link is dead (but not nice photo well):
- Click Start-> Run (or Vista and 7 just press the windows ORB)
- Type: gpedit.msc
- Expand Local computer policy / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update
- Double-click on "to demand no auto restart for automatic updates installations".
- Select 'Active', then OK. Close the group policy configuration program.
This should stop it autorestarting.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see how it works there.
A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.
The problems of Firefox using Firefox SafeModeWhen in Safe Mode...
- The State of plugins is not affected.
- Custom preferences are not affected.
- All extensions are disabled.
- The default theme is used, without a character.
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored.
- The layout of the default toolbar is used.
- The JIT Javascript compiler is disabled.
- Hardware acceleration is disabled.
- You can open the mode without failure of Firefox 15.0 + by pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.
If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.
