How can I stop Windows from automatically restart so that I can scan? "Windows has encountered a critical error and it restarts in 60 seconds"

How to disable the restart automatic windows vista minute by minute and enable MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS to his SWEEP of the REGULAR SECURITY?

Each time windows vista is fully on, after a few seconds it is automatically followed by a pop up message that reads as follows: "WINDOWS is MEETING A CRITICAL ERROR AND IT WILL RESTART in 60 SECONDS." I know that this is caused by a virus. You have experience with this kind of problem? Please provide steps on how to fix this problem if possible. Thanks to you all.

Hi Readen Astorys,

Method 1
Step 1:
I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Startup options (including safe mode)

Step 2: If the problem is solved in safe mode, then I suggest you perform the clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

Note: Follow step 7 clean boot KB929135 article to reset the computer in normal mode.

Method 2
I also suggest to run virus scan online by using the Microsoft safety scanner.

Thank you.    I had a CD of "Install Drivers on my computer" Dell.  When I put that in, it listed the available drivers and I extracted the files on the network card driver and it reinstalled a new network adapter driver.   Have had no problems since last night when I did, so all it seems has (finally) been resolved.

  • Wireless problem Post Infection - Windows has encountered a critical error and close in one minute.

    Hello

I recently had my computer infected by the virus of the Ant-malware Doctor and I believe that it has been completely removed now. However, I think that one of its components attached to a driver of key computer or something and when I removed it I accidentally deleted this essential engine with it. So I can not access the internet for more than a minute. If I turn on the wireless, I connect but immediately the computer says: 'Windows has encountered a critical error and ends in a minute' and 'Service and controller app has stopped working and was closed ". I checked also further in my error reports and think that it may also have something to with THE COUNTER Service? It is difficult to correct the situation when I can't access internet from my computer, but I can use another computer and transfer the files needed to repair the damage. Also I have a product Id, but as Im not using my own computer (to which the Id is attached), I can't access to professional advice. But if someone here can help I would be very grateful. IM thinking of uninstalling Service Packs and reinstall them but I'm not a computer expert. Thank you in advance.

Updated after you have everything installed Norton Internet Security on my laptop the scans detected some trojan infectios and I'm checking for more information and to remove all the. Also, when I've updated my Norton Internet updates no warning sign came on a mistake criticism or service and controller app. It seems that viruses are to blame for the problem and despite the using various anti-virus software and scan many times before Norton virus remained unchanged. It's possible lack of virus definitions updated authorized to do this as the internet connection difficulties made difficult to download updates lasted. Thank you, and if the problem doesn't go away, I'll re-post say.

This started happening a few days ago. I tried to run the software anti-virus and 3 different registry cleaners and nothing helped. I use a mobile internet USB and when I tried to run safe mode with networking of the device was not recognized.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

This is the Win32/Trojan.Shutdowner virus and rootkit causes this error. I think that it is the solution: download and burn the ISO image of kav rescue ofhttp://rescuedisk.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/kav_rescue_10.isoon CD. Make a start of full system scan from the disc that you created. Remove infections all found, including this stupid annoying rootkit, and you're done! At least it worked for me!

Hello world. Since I installed Windows 7 Home Premium, I had problems with an error message displayed when I start my computer. The error message said, as in the title, "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now. ». After a minute, the computer is forced to restart, it closed suddenly, without any message "Shutdown of Windows". The problem occurs very often, I want to say that it appears whenever I start my computer. I don't know what to do, it's really annoying.

Not sure what I can do to fix this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.

See if a Startup Repair will fix it.

If you only have a recovery disk. not a Microsoft Vista DVD, try this below

If a Microsoft Disk, follow the instructions to down

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

  • Hi, whenever I log in, I get the following message: "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now. »

According to the questions, I don't have time to do anything between reboots, because the window opens instantly. I read in another question to create a new shortcut 'shutdown - a', but which does nothing.

A terrible problem that feels desperate, but buying a new one is not an option. Please help me.

Unless someone else comes up with different opinions, looks like a clean install is perhaps the way to go.

Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself. (No, Symantec Support never say this.) See if the following solves your problems:

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    6. do a clean install of the 2010 version of your Norton application, using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate until you get a prompt "no update more".

    8 test cycle.

NB: Your Norton application can disable Windows Defender by default.
