How can I uninstall Thunderbird?

I used my laptop when I worked for this company. They programmed and or downloaded Thunderbird in my computer. When I try to send an email to an advertiser (example: craigs list) continuous form to show my old company email address. I have not worked for them for 2 years. Please tell me how to fix the problem of the sender's address or how to uninstall Thunderbird all together.

    General information about replacing Vista with XP:

    A. on a computer OEM (HP, Sony, etc.):
