How delete/remove an unwanted network connection?

How can I remove/delete a unwanted network connection that appears in a list of possible connections?

I have my usual point of connection, but somehow a second connection point with the same base name appeared, but his name is the same as my main, but with the addition of his name to "guest.

Hello:

It depends on.

With Windows 8, you right click on the network, you do not want and select forget this network.

With Windows 7, see this link.

http://www.technixupdate.com/forget-or-remove-WiFi-network-remembered-connectivity-details-in-Windows-7/

If you want to never see the comments network, disable the network comments option in the configuration menu of your router.

The "Guest" is an option on many routers that allows you to have people connect to internet via wifi from your router, but not have access to your home network.

  • You want to know how to remove the unwanted directory of Service Console

    Hello-

I just completed some builds of some ESX servers to a new cluster and just realized that I created a directory on a few of them that I don't want.  Hoping someone can tell me how I can list and delete such a file, once connected to the Service Console.

    Thanks a lot - "it's very appreciated.

    Steve

    Hello.

You can use the command 'ls' to the list of directories, the command "cd" to change around directories and "rmdir" command to remove directories.  You can also use FastSCP, if you want to use a graphical interface.

    Good luck!

  • East-creation / removal of instant network connection causes slow VM?

    Hello

We find that when we create / remove the snapshot for virtual machines, the network connectivity for VMS is much degraded.

We would like to just know is there a relationship between the snapshot and underlying network connectivity?

    Your opinion is requested.

Ideally it will not create any problem at the end of network. However its depends on the configuration of your network as Vswitch if you use the same vswitch to prod & save then it might be to create some slowness...

What is the size of the virtual machines?

  • How to remove the unwanted addresses?

I want to remove Thunderbird email addresses I need is no longer, or e-mail addresses that have been modified, so that they no longer appear when I type a name. I can't find a way to delete unwanted addresses. There must be a way to do it.

  • Unwanted network connections.

To start, I hope that this post will be in communities to Support Apple > Mac OS & software system > El Capitan...

I am currently using a 13 "Macbook Pro late 2014 RETINA display SSD hard drive with a processor intel i5. However I used the Mac for 10 years and I love them. I'm starting this discussion for the simple and yet the complex issues involved with the activity of the network. What happened to start your system/mac and you "user" is the person who made all of these external connections to the internet. I use Little Snitch as well as iStats. It seems a bit odd to need an app to watch all of your network connections. I was always under the impression that only Windows (including windows 10) was the operating system that has kept and all data sent to Microsoft. Just for the mac user lay, so that we know what most of these demons are trying to connect to the web. A small example is garguillo. I did some research and looked all game Kit frameworks that support this Protocol, in total, in my view, there are 16. I looked at each and decided, I use none of them so why this daemon needs to connect to the outside world automatically? So I decided I would not allow it to connect to the web. Unfortunately, I recently read that el Capitan has 'Protection system integrity' which prevents the root to modify system files. So in summary what it means? Once again as a lay mac user (I'm not an engineer, programmer or computer) why some items need to run, even if I do not use them? Geo-location is another example, probably better than garguillo. I'm under the assumption after searching for a bit, the com.apple.geod.xpc Protocol is essentially a location service. Well what happens if I don't want my site to document constantly using my mac? Why can't I just turn it off. In my view, that it is mainly used for the cards. I have started this thread with the intent to maybe get an answer with a list of protocols/demons/connections that must be why. It seems that every day I'm Googling to see what one of these Apple services are and why I need to be allowing it to connect to the web. Recently, I had a rogue server ovh.net attached to my netstats, and he only received data from my laptop. I don't know if I got a virus on a website or something, but he me enough to wipe my SSD and do a clean reinstall scared. This process is very difficult for me because I keep all my photos and data are stored on external hard drives, and I just wanted to make sure that the server that connected had disappeared me and he took a bit of code that allowed him to connect disappeared with it. In short, I would be really thankful some answers with Apple services that try to connect on startup, but you don't need. I'm trying to run a system with as little as possible expansion. I don't want to use iCloud but it seems almost impossible because I own an iPhone, Macbook and other products Apple who all want to communicate (although I wish they were all only entities). If I can please help with things that I can get rid of without disrupting the integrity of my UNIX-like OS aka OS X El Capitan, I'd be very happy. I would also like to see some answers to see if someone feels the same way I do.

    Thank you

In response to this, I would also like to ask about the problem of Sparkle.framework. I downloaded on my VLC mac and would like to know if I need to worry about this.

  • How to remove the unwanted icons in the toolbar next to the Start button?

    • I have two of these lines has never asked for them. What are they and can you help me to get rid of them please

    * original title - I have unwanted icons in my toolbar next to the Start button, how can I get rid of them please *.

    Hi Pauline,

First of all, let's make sure that you have only the taskbar at the bottom and not additional toolbars.  Right-click on the Start button and click on properties.  Go to the tab bar tasks and do not forget to uncheck lock the taskbar if it is checked and click on apply.  Go to the tab tool bars.  Make sure that nothing is checked, unless you want the quick launch icons to show. This is normally what appears next to the start menu and is a quick way to see and start programs of your choice - you can add or remove icons at your convenience as follows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Add-or-remove-programs-on-the-Quick-Launch-toolbar.  If that's what you want to see (and which resembles what you want to get rid of), uncheck this box as well.  Click OK and the quick launch icons should be gone (but have been recorded and can be added by simply re - check the box).  Personally, I find them very useful, but if you don't them want, then you can remove them as described above - it's entirely your choice.

Secondly, you say that it is in two rows.  This is probably because of two bars of additional tools, either because the taskbar has been extended to two lines instead of one.  If it is still two rows, then if you deleted all the toolbars, it is because the taskbar are expanded.  Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and make sure Lock the taskbar are not checked - if so, uncheck the box.  Now hover your mouse on the top edge of the taskbar until it turns into a line with an arrowhead at each end and click the left mouse button and drag the taskbar to the bottom until it comes only one line (or up if you want to make three or more lines - your choice).  Release the mouse button and that will be your new taskbar.  You can lock it if you like by checking the lock the taskbar (as described above to unlock the taskbar - just click and a check mark will appear to indicate that it is locked) - this is for you.  Personally, I keep it unlocked so I can change more quickly - but it's a personal choice that everyone else does.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I have a few days ago, I had to disable my internet to install something. When I tried to reconnect my internet I couldn't, later I found out that I turned off my LAN cable to connect my computer to the modem. Its all working now, but I have 1 question.

It didn't and now I can't delete it, and I think that's casuing some problems with my computer, thinking its connected to the internet and also not connected to the internet.

Because I'm not sure which router you have that's going to be quite general.

Click Start, go in run, type "CMD" and in the command prompt, type "IPCONFIG" no citation.

Find the address of a default gateway and enter this address in the address bar of your web browser. You will be asked to enter a user name and password. It is common that it is admin/admin, admin/password, admin/1234. After getting that distant and connected, an update so that we can better you go after knowledge that makes your router. If you happens to go there and feel comfortable going forward, look for the wireless settings tab and there should be a sub-category of security. Use WPA2-PSK, whatever you ask for password will be your new password in order to access your wireless network.
