  There was a problem with the PS, install the old version of ACR, you may need to reinstall PS to solve this problem, but you can try the direct download link. Camera Raw is 9.3 until now.

  I have a pc, it freezes when moving from one photo to the next. It is a new and very annoying phenomenon since I have to force close and all over again. I did tons of action shots, and that's what would take an eternity. I have a newer computer with a great processor and plenty of RAM. As I said, this is a new development. Can anyone help?

  If you are referring to the version of process , you who set the ACR camera Calibration tab.

  

  Also remember that all images with previous settings will show the process used when they were stopped.  Which can also be changed in this tab.

  I don't know what you mean by trying to save as RAW PS.  If the photo is originally a RAW or DNG, and you take it in ACR and after the treatment, you will need to save it as another extension.  Jpg, tiff, dng or psd (which is ext. photo shop).  I don't think that you can open a psd in ACR.  Take a picture of the bridge, duplicate (so you don't ruin a good photo) and opened in regular PS.  Then save it in jpg or tiff.  Once registered, take this picture of the bridge and see if you can open it in ACR.
