How do I backup on my remote Toshiba or a flash drive

I can't select a remote control for the backup.  I don't see even what is on the files, because they come empty, which I know is not true.  This computer is new, but programs should be the same!

I'm not particularly computer literate, but performed this task on my old computer, so don't understand the problem.  The only available backup method is 6 CD.

I suggest avoid you the Windows backup program and you get a good commercial backup program. This forum meets for a windows problem reports. I know that I was very impressed when I tried it. Three I'm familiar with and like Norton Ghost (which I use for 8 years no 1 problem), Easeus Todo Backup free, you can download it on http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm and Memeo, which has 30 day free trial and you can buy it for $29.99 - you can download it from http://memeo.com . You can get Ghost for almost nothing (like me), if you look at the sales.
The March 2012 issue of PC World has been very high on the program FREE of Easeus and CNET.  From my experience with a variety of configurations, I must say that I am very impressed.  As Ghost will support up to a network drive and it will create a bootable CD for when your PC does not start.  See comment by CNET of it to

CNET has a lot of reviews of backup program to
http://download.cnet.com/windows/backup-software/?tag=contentBody;sideBar .

Some of them are free (the last time I checked there over 300), some have free trials (more), and some are buying only (more than 200).

External hard drives are the best for backup. You can get a 500 GB one for about $65 a 1 TB for about $80. You can also buy a flash drive of 32 GB for less than $20.  It is the best insurance you can buy ever!

I hope this helps.  Good luck

How can you use a flash drive instead?
So, indeed, the USB key works as an SSD...

None of these options are acceptable in the circumstances.

You can not install XP on a Flash as his unsupported drive. Your only two options are a traditional hard drive or Solid State Drive (SSD).

  • How to synchronize changes in the iMac to an external flash drive

Without using a 3rd party application, is it possible to synchronize changes made to my iMac documents and data on an external drive such as a flash drive? I use Time Machine, but I want to connect via a usb cable flash drive in the iMac, such as changes I made one of my documents will automatically flash player to activate and make the same changes on the documents that are in the flash player.

Not as part of the OS x Time Machine does not have a mirror copy of the backup computer. So what you have is just a backup that can be restored using the application Time Machine.

There are many utilities of third parties who may perform scheduled backups, incremental reflecting the main hard drive.

  • How to get windows xp re - install for installing the flash drive to the computer error portable "windows\system32\config\system".

My Acer Aspire One has error "windows\system32\config\system" How can I get a copy of windows xp original usb? When I bought the

computer laptop windows xp made & paid for. Product key is on the back. Can I download & reinstall using a flash drive?

C:\Windows\system32\config\system is one of the files that make up the system registry.  Backups of the system registry files are kept in the 'C:\System Volume Information' folder under the system restore program.  Probably all you need to do is copy of registry backups in the Windows\system32\config folder.  A reinstall of windows may not be necessary.

To do this is to start your machine from a free "Live Linux" thumb drive.  You can create a startup disk Ubuntu here:

Follow the instructions of "Try me" and you should be able to copy backups of registry in place.  Windows has "Hidden doubling" the System Volume Information folder, but Linux doesn't seem to have any problems with it.  After starting from the Thumb Drive Linux, follow the instructions in the following article from part 2, step 6, using the graphical interface of Linux to copy files (right click copy, make a right click Paste) instead of the lines of command in the article.  With a little patience, you can restore the registry from a backup, and be back in operation

  • Toshiba 32 GB Flash Drive and locking software for Ubuntu

I bought a 32 GB Toshiba Usb Flash Drive, which comes with a lock. Works great under Vista, but if I stick in my Ubuntu desktop-driven, the files on the disk can be viewed or copied or deleted, so the software that comes with the drive is pretty useless as collateral.

    Any suggestions please?

    Hi Gumnut,

What Toshiba flash drive you exactly, because there are different models on the market? I m not owner of this flash drive but for as far as I know Toshiba doesn't support Linux, so this software will not work on Linux, so the reader isn't locked.

You can also contact Toshiba. I found an email address on the Toshiba memory product page:

Just write an email and you can get an official response! :)

  • How to boot from a usb on Satellite A500-o25 flash drive

    Hello

Enter the Bios by pressing F2 at startup, go to the start menu and choose the USB drive as first boot device (you navigate with the F5 and F6 keys). Press F10, and... Save and exit menu, is displayed, press ok. That's all.

Note, I have my satellite A500 connect the computer before turning on Usb flash, otherwise the usb flash drive does not appear in the boot menu in Bios

To add to the good advice of Arya S Asok
When you right-click the selected (highlighted)
Group of files... click on "send to" and select
the drive letter for the Flash Player.

It is best if you create folders on your
Flash drive to save the files in because what he
may be a limit to how many files, you can
Copy in the root directory of the drive.

In this case, you receive an error that says:

  • How can I download a summary of worksource to a flash drive

How can I download information to a flash drive

You can use copy and paste or you can use Save as.

    To copy and paste

    1) highlight the text you want to copy

    (2) click the highlighted text, and then click on copy

    (3) click on which you want to paste the text (a word processor - perhaps Wordpad)

    (4) make a right click and click on paste.

Once in the word processor then you can use Save as to save it to the flash drive.  It will have its own drive letter.

    Good luck.

I'm sorry, but you need to contact the manufacturer of Netbook on this subject.

There are too fishy advice on the Net start from USB to recommend a method

They will have the Options of reinstalling Vista available for their Netbook, because they produce a lot of them.

Take the Option to plant, where to do otherwise may affect your warranty.

  • How to import and transport of the images in the flash player

How to export images to my Windows live photo gallery flash drive.  I know how to import but not export it from my computer.

The best way to copy files is to go to your pictures library, where all of your files to import dated records or the named files are, with photos are inside of them.

Insert your USB key, and then drag the files one by one to the drive letter it appears the inserted in, storage device

When all the files have been copied to the flash drive, right-click on the drive letter and select eject in the right click menu.

If the backup of windows appears and says you have files to burn to close the pop-up window and continue slide it / drop or you can also use copy and paste, right click or ctrl + c to copy and ctrl + v to paste.

Why do your best records instead of separate pictures, it is that the folder structure is transferred as well.
