How do I batch convert Quicktime mov to avoid (conversion)?

I understand that sometimes in 2013 10 Quicktime for Mac has begun to force the conversion of .mov who were in a format inherited to a new format.  The way that is currently done in when I open a file with quicktime, it takes a significant amount of time to convert it, and then I have an option to save him.  Nothing new here, and I have read other forums on why this happens.  I would like to batch convert all my old .mov simultaneously and will save the files to a new format for a new folder.  How can I do that quickly, easily, and cheaply?  I tried to import them into the new iMovie thinking it would automatically give them but they do not.  I want to avoid opening several thousand .mov individually in quicktime and save them.  I have OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 and a 13-inch Macbook Pro 2012.  Thank you.

I would like to batch convert all my old .mov simultaneously and will save the files to a new format for a new folder.  How can I do that quickly, easily, and cheaply?

Under the Mavericks, Yosemite and El Capitan, the structure of "Convert" used by the QT application X Player are accessible by the user at the Finder level. This means that any file or files selected in the Finder window can be converted separately or in a set a certain target parameter using the option "Encode the selected video files" found in file 'Context' menu. In fact, this menu allows the conversion of target user for the quality of ("compatibility") standard h.264/AAC, h.264/AAC 'Higher quality' or Apple ProRes 422/LPCM, modification of quality files at 480 p, 720 p or 1080 p resolutions. If the source files are not supported by the codec of your current system configuration, but are supported by the FFmpegX codec package (e.g., codecs that are supported MPlayerX, NicePlayer, Perian, VLC, etc), then I personally recommend the usefulness of free Handbrake with his novices presets and manual advanced functions as a batch converter to third party targeted QT OS/IOS/tvOS MP4/M4V files. However, most of the existing files can continue to be played in VLC, MPlayerX, NicePlayer, or the Player 7 QT with Perian installed if you prefer not to perform a conversion.

I was wondering what version of Windows are you using? XP, Vista, 7

Sorry... but with the .mov files, the conversion is the only solution.

Here is a way to convert online so that you won't have to
    Download and install a software:

Try the following free online Converter:

    Media-Convert
    http://media-convert.com/

    Apple Quicktime conversion instructions

    (1) in the field "File"... click on "Browse".
button and navigate to the .mov file you
you want to convert. When you select the
file... the path will appear in the field "File".

    (2) the "Input format" field should automatically
show... Let it 'Apple Quicktime (.mov)'
    as it is...

    (3) "output size" has two windows...
does not display the field on the left, "no video".
    PRESET"... leave it as what...

    (4) in the next to move to the right window
You can choose the format you want
    convert... try:

    Windows Media Video (.wmv)

    (5) on the left, click on the blue * OK button.
(sometimes the site is busy... If the conversion fails... try again)

Now... wait as the file to be converted.
    (be patient)

Once the conversion is completed, you will see:

    File converted successfully!

Your file will appear right of a little green
... left click on the file name... save it as
... appears on the left, click on the "Save" button.
Choose a folder to save in (I always download)
on my desk)... on the left, click on the "Save" button.

When the file is downloaded, you should be able
to play with Windows Media Player and it should
    be compatible with Movie maker.

    That's all! Good luck.

  • How can I play a Quicktime (.mov) file in windows media player?

My computer (Vista) downloaded my videos from my camera to the .mov format.  I have quicktime on my computer and can be read using this software.  But I want to import videos in Windows Movie Maker and Movie Maker does not recognize the .mov file.  Help, please!  I'm doing videos at home for the holidays.

    Hi Junkmendall,

Welcome on the site of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Some audio and video file formats are not supported in Windows Movie Maker and cannot be imported. Movie Maker is not compatible with QuickTime .mov files. However, if you have a video or audio file that is not supported, you can use a video editing software not Microsoft to convert the file into a format supported by Windows Movie Maker to perform a search online for video conversion software to find one that fits your needs (check the file formats that are supported by Window Movie Maker http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-video-files-pictures-and-audio-into-Windows-Movie-Maker) and then import the video file or an audio resulting in Windows Movie Maker. Some files also require you to install a codec before you can use the files in Windows Movie Maker.

IMOPRTANT NOTE: Using third-party software can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly or may lead to serious problems. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Let me know if that does or does not work. Good luck!

    Hope it will be useful.

I would say the use of YouTube is not only your best technique method but better marketing as well. Videos have a topic... the first place for people to YouTube is for videos on a topic. It's a good thing that you can then use to drive people to your Web site.

  • Within CS5 (Dave Karlin) How - TOS: "The album's single" converts QuickTime

The training book offers foto album w / Flash as a 'simple' (to play as a slideshow on the devices of conversion of swf files in Quicktime) but only 4 images per pop: I have about 100 images. 'Advanced' has no direction for the same capacity: is the limitation of the 4 image a QuickTime issue or is this a limitation to the Adobe software? And "Advanced foto album" converts to quicktime? QuickTime can be converted to play like h.264 for devices; now, my swf (4 images: simple converted to swf format) box of flash do not play on IPhs, my roll to expand the Gallery (swf) do not play on HPI: photoshop click on the thumbnail to enlarge will not work on iPhone or other devices of cell ph? (not w/out a slider). I would hire a professional editor/consultant, but I have not been able to snag one (despite the effort). Another person asked me why not for what? because his webdevel told him "don't worry the four images only; We'll fix that later. "I divided my image files in the years 1999-2013: that's a lot of individual quicktime movies to only four pictures by movie file. And how would be a slideshow enabled on an HPI (phone laptop w/Inet ability) if it

is not a slider? If QT h.264 conversion it plays just all the time? I had a lot of other videos to attempt the conversion, so it takes technical skills better than what I know...

SWF files are not editable. Whereas the fla files are editable. Think of it this way. FLA files are text files that can be created with notepad, word, etc. A swf file is machine code that requires the flash player to interpret it in a browser or AIR to interpret it as an application.

Flash professional and flash catalyst do text and compile it to a swf file.

Flash pro can import a SWF however and transmit during the compilation process.

Looks like you already found deeper than the process that I mentioned. The reason for the flash path is when you add the code to allow this amination to do the things that you can do visually. For example adding random dimmed points and move them in a random pattern to make it look like snow. This is a great use of flash as you let the computer do the work for you.

But for a simple slideshow where you are showing a picture after another with perhaps a fade between the two, flash is a little step to the side.

What helps with flash, is that you have seen people create models for slides shows using code. Allowing others you just to add the images and maybe some features and run the compiler.

The problem would then become the author of this model has a pretty good work? Have your best interests at heart? Yes, flash is likely to coders who have alterior motives.

As for fear of quicktime, why? Apple is in business for more years that I can remember anyway back in the 1980s. QuickTime is more than PC computers that I could probably count. It is definitely on all Mac computers. His need to export any video from photoshop.

I tell you that if you have the mindset to go down the road of flash, I recommend that repost you on the flash forums, because they would have more answers about flash you would get here in a way.

I also think that Apple has their own forum for what either quicktime related, so who can quench your answers on quicktime.

Good luck and if you have other questions related to photoshop, feel free to post.

    Hello

I think that it is a super simple question, how to import a QuickTime on my page? I assume that you will insert > media >? not sure what comes after? This is the wave of shock, applet, active x or plugin?

    Thank you

    Beth H

There is not a default behavior to insert for this built into Dreamweaver, but one
quick search on Exchange show that there is an extension to do this,
Although I have not used. Do a search for "quicktime" here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?view=sn120#loc=en_US&view=sn105&ViewName=E % 20Search xchange

Make sure that you set the drop program Dreamweaver in order to minimize the number
great success. Should be the second one on the list: "insert a QuickTime Movie

I hope it works for you. There is some additional information on the
extension on the details page that you might want to look to make sure
    everything works fine.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is really no way to do what you want to do.

    Here's why.

You currently have 320 pixels and you want to show the 1920 pixels. This means that the software must do six pixels of a pixel that you provide. He basically has to duplicate them. He can do a little better with a mix, possibly using the current engine CC in Photoshop to do the job instead of Premiere Pro.

Then, he must take 240 in 1080 and it's 4.5 pixels for everyone that provide you.

Then you ask to play each image four times from 15 to 60.

No offense, but you're asking to turn an ear of pigs in a silk purse.
