  I think the best thing to do is to copy the old catalog of the any file to the new computer and place it in its own nine empty folder. Then change in Windows, the drive letters E on the new computer becomes G (as it was on the old computer). Then double-click the Lightroom from the old computer catalog to open it, and everything should be good.

  I got the same error! When you are looking in Program Files ToolbarUpdaterService.exe. Not found!  But was curious to the toolbar of the StartNow folder?  So I open the folder and found a folder-Recources. and 4 Files: 1) StartNowToolbarUninstall.exe; (2) ToolbarUpdaterService.exe; (3) 32.dll toolbar; (4) c:\windows\uninstall.dat.

  I have not found any information relatiing to Google.  Knowing that ToolbarUpdaterService.exe was a hole black for my RAM I double click on the file "StartNowToolbarUninstall.exe".   My PC has not had a problem since!  Hope this helps your friend Alvin writer

  I arrive a little late on this one... but it is worth noting that wchar_t is 16-bit Windows, but 32-bit on Mac OS.  So A_UTF16Char and wchar_t are not interchangeable on MacOS.  Look for the example code copyConvertStringLiteralIntoUTF16() in the SDK for an example of not-so-nice how to handle this.
