How do I Deauthorize a WIndows 7 PC so I can legally install on another PC, I use volume licesing.

There are different WIndows 7 users in my company. We have 100 licenses of Win7. Now, if an employee leaves and we want to resume the licese for Win7 to him. How to do it, or if a computer is damaged how do I remove the license?

Click Start, type: CMD
Right-click on CMD
Click on run as administrator
At the command prompt, type: slmgr.vbs - upk

Press enter, this will uninstall the product key of the computer and to the evaluation mode, you are now free to use it on another computer.

Please note that, under the terms of the volume license Windows 7 cannot be transferred to another machine. So, if you use Windows 7 VL, its stuck with this machine.

If yours is a copy retail, you don't and I don't need to.

But if yours is an OEM copy (for example if it came pre-installed on)
your computer, you can not install it on another computer. Your OEM
license restricted for the first computer, on which it is installed and it
can never be legally moved to another.

  • Problems of updates Windows XP - how to fix the incorrect Windows XP updates KB2633952 keep asking to install?

Problems of updates Windows XP - how to fix the incorrect Windows XP updates KB2633952 keep asking to install? True, it is that it is already installed on your computer. If hide us, an another previous KB2570791 arises in our updates of Windows and asked to install anything, that it was installed... of the questions repeated and very annoying.  Help, please!

(Microsoft Answers just sent us message have deleted our previous thread, ask for help!) We are simply not that these problems are problems with Windows XP updates related to DST or not?)

Nadia. PA supporter said that your computer is hacked. He may be right. I can't weigh because I don't know what led him to this conclusion. If your computer is hijacked, then you should address that more that you need to fix this minor update. However, under the resolution of your problem to update, you can try this:

    Assume Windows XP

Check the C:\Windows\System32\ directory for the presence of the file tzchange.exe

If the file is not present or if the version of the file is not 5.1.2600.6171 or newer...

Download the update appropriate 2633952 for your platform here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2633952

Run with - extract switch (e.g., Start > run > "[path to the downloaded file] \WindowsXP-KB2633952-x86-ENU.exe"-x)

Of course, replace [path to the downloaded file] with the path to the downloaded file.

Citations may or may not be required depending on the path. Place the x - out the citations if you use them.

Choose a location for the extracted files (a new folder is recommended)

Locate the extracted files. File tzchange.exe you want and copy it into C:\windows\System32

That rerun Windows Update detection to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Restore to factory state out of the box. Can I install all updates from Microsoft using Windows update or can I install antivirus first before to connect to internet?

Restore to factory state out of the box. Can I install all updates from Microsoft using Windows update or can I install antivirus first before to connect to internet?

Currently Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x 86 (no patches since 2008). Currently, it has no AV and has not been connected to the internet yet. It will be behind a router.

I had to redo the factory already reset after be connected to the net for 20 minutes and then a bunch of programs kept crashing saying Data Execution Prevention had to close the program StackHash and BEX error when executing update for HP drivers.

Maybe I installed Kaspersky first next time?

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

No problem. Install the updates. You can install the anti-virus later.

Just don't start browsing the inet by updating.

  • Disable Windows 7 on a computer and re-install on another?

I have a 5 + year old laptop running Windows 7 RC very well.  I would like to install a valid purchased copy of Windows 7 Home Premium on it.  If ever, I decided to recycle that old computer (or simply, he's dead), then deavtive the product key of Windows 7 that ran on it and reintall the same copy of Windows 7 on another computer?

Any component of the computer except the motherboard without any problems with the activation of a key OEM, you can raplace.

OEM keys are locked to the first motherboard on which they are enabled. The ONLY time they can be transferred to another motherboard is when it is replaced in the warranty conditions.

OEM System Builder licenses have a second set of rules to follow - OEM System Builder speech therapists - which state that windows must be installed on a system for sale to a third party (i.e. you can't use the system yourself).

I get the error code 80073712 - windows component store is damaged - when you try to install windows vista SP1 and also the Cumulative security update to explore 7 (KB978207). Fails every time.

I followed the advice and installed the system update tool for Windows Vista (does this twice), but still cannot download and install updates - get error 80073712.

How can I fix the corrupted windows components store?

    Thank you

    CMDC,
If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows.  You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool.  If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

  • How do I uninstall macafee, windows 8 with touch screen, can not find it on 'start' menu tiles

I was told I had to download adobe to look at a document, Macafee crawled with it. I have a laptop HP with Windows 8 and touchscreen. the closest thing I find a start menu is tiles, and there is no way to uninstall McAfee from this screen - it's not even a tile of macafee. But in any case I found the icon, if I click right, hold left click, or whatever it is, there is no option to uninstall

    Hello Elle3000,

On the start screen for Windows 8 If you just start typing control anywhere on the screen, you will find the control panel option appears in the results of research on the right of the screen.

On the desktop, if you right click on the Start button (windows low icon to the left of the screen), you should get a menu drop-down. You will find the Control Panel on this menu.
