How do I fix this error C00D1052 in Windows Media Player?

I tried to watch a digital copy and this error of wmp from Windows Media Player cannot play the protected file. The player has detected that the connection to your hardware isn't sure.

Reset the Bank of DRM (Digital Rights management) on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

a. If Windows Media Player 11 is running, exit Windows Media Player 11.

b. Locate the DRM folder on the hard disk, and then rename the folder to DRMbackup DRM.

Note By default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows XP:

a. %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

b. by default, this folder is located in the following location in Windows Vista:

c. %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

c. visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp (http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp)

d. follow the instructions on the website to update the safety component of Windows Media Player 11. This procedure allows you to obtain new licenses for media content. You can also reset licenses for purchased content so that you can play that content on a computer.
